Much as I despise his show, Maher has a point here. War from 15,000 feet is rather cowardly, if you think about it.

General George S. Patton
The object of war is not to die for your country but to make the other bastard die for his.

GET A CLUE!!

Really, tell that to the 1 in 3 bomber crews in WWII who failed to come home alive. Or the Korean and Vietnam crews who suffered similar fates although in smaller percentages. With a username like yours, I would expect more insight.

Bill Maher is what he has always been.....a politically correct secular Jew who loves to bash America and has no inkling of the sacrifices we've made historically and has no appreciation for what members of his own tribe in Israel have been putting up with for decades. He's a putz. His time is over as of 9-11-01...much like many others of his ilk.

The only good to come of all this is that liberals like him have been derailed for the time being.

This is a silly comment, IMO. If I have a M-16 and a person is coming at me with a knife 200 yards away...should I wait until he is 5 feet away before I pull the trigger? In war, dead is dead. The point is to kill the other guy before they kill you. If they never see you, all the better...fear, from an unseen source of death, gives the others pause.

That is one of the dumbest comments I've heard, especially coming from someone named ARCLIGHT Guam to Nam Operation Arclight: South Vietnam 18 June 1965

Tell that to the Rangers who were butchered and dragged through the streets in Somalia. Or to the families of the 58,000 names on The Wall. The US military has paid its dues. Maher is pathetic.

Do you possibly believe they were following orders, maybe? The orders of a craven and his appointees who were more interested in wasting bombs and resources, terrorizing a population, creating a distrust and hatred for America, and further dividing our nation, than in letting anyone fight a war.

And smart, if you believe in killing innocent people, because your own fighters live to be able to kill more innocent people. I wonder why Bin Laden didn't do it that way?

Let's get this straight: war from any distance, when waged against EVIL, is always courageous. On the other hand, it may take cojones to commit suicide and slaughter the innocent in the process, but IT DOES NOT INVOLVE COURAGE. Courage is not a word that EVER applies to terrorists.
'Nuff said.

Have you ever been fired upon by anti aircraft missles? In modern air warfare, altitude is life. It's not cowardly, it's smart. It's the other bastard who needs to die for his country, not our guys. There's a time and place to get down in the dirt, but it's not until you wipe out the other guys AA guns and missles. Please don't show your ignorance anymore. I lost some good friends in the gulf because they were too low and were taken down by AA or shoulder launched missles.

My father told me that the most scared he's ever been in his life was having a bullet go through his insturment panel in his F-4 during Vietnam.

You just called my father a coward.

You're damn lucky you didn't say this to my face, you snot.

For good reason, as the rest of us, you posted this anonymously.

Now, prove how "uncowardly" YOU are. Walk into a room full of veterans and say that. Betcha don't have the guts.

You should be ashamed of yourself.

yeah, i would prefer launching nukes from 10,000 miles away where even pilots aren't at risk and the mission is infinitely more successful.

Cowardly? No, it's called technology. The only point Mahar has is the one on his pin head.

You are absolutely right.

I will send my recommendation to the Department of defense forthwith.

No equipment or weapons allowed except knives.

And our troops must walk to get there.

This is in-freaking-credible.

I can't believe my eyes.

Would you say that if your son or daughter is the pilot of the airplane at 15,000 ft? How many of our servicemen and women must DIE so you can be free to speak such dispicable words?

Have you ever heard of a "Wild Weasle". The pilot locks on to a anti-aircraft radar and rides the beam into the target. While he is doing this, the enemy is launching missles at him. Kind of like a game of chicken. This is what goes on in the "No fly zone" every day.

Oh it is, is it ArcLight? You stupid f**king moron.

When was the last time you flew a fighter jet over hostile territory against a foe armed with Stinger missiles?

You never have, obviously, and if you were even a passenger on such a mission you'd be soiling your pink panties.

This is an asinine statement the first time I read it and it continues to be.

It's the worldview of a child or an academic.

It's like arguing that there's more virtue in whitling yourself a house completely with a pocketknife because it took 10 000 times longer to do.
