Operative word: patriarchal. I would take issue with this statement in its full context of feminist theory, that MAN is responsible for all the violence she speaks of. There is no question we live in a world that condones violence. Our own country tolerates the destruction of unborn infants on a daily basis.

As those of you with whom I've managed to speak know, in fact, that has been one of my great worries, because a few years ago, in the 48 hours after the Oklahoma City bombing (before it was discovered that the perpetrator was a white Christian right-wing male) three Arab Americans were lynched in the Midwest of the US.

Can anyone tell me if this really happened? In the thousands of hours of coverage of the Oklahoma City bombing, I never heard this mentioned. If this is another figment of this women's imagination, it just demonstrates how evil she is.

But suppose it's true. So what? It's the nature of men to be more aggressive than women. It's a fact of life, like gravity. Blaming "patriarchy" for war is like blaming the science of plane building for bringing down the World Trade Center. This is how God created us.

Excellent point. The problem is that men, by holding each other (including their own sons) to the theology that a man has no right to defend himself against a woman, are in effect letting women kick them to the cjs.

It sounds to me as though you think a kick to the nads is the end all do all for the average male. Should a woman try this on me (or any other virile American Male) She might quickly start wondering why her lips are numb and her vision fading and why that 270 pound MALE is holding her off the ground by her throat....(And wondering why that kick to the nads didn't work)
