The operative stupid word word there is 'let'. If I 'let' someone do something to me that doesn't mean they have power over me, otherwise I wouldn't have to 'let' them do it.

Excellent point. The problem is that men, by holding each other (including their own sons) to the theology that a man has no right to defend himself against a woman, are in effect letting women kick them to the cjs.

You've totally lost me, or at least confused me for the moment. I'ts always ok to defend yourself from someone who is attacking you, it's just that men are not to initiate violence against women (a very good rule, I must add), and that men are to use no more force than is necesary to defend themselves (another splendid rule) if a woman should attack. This is all theoretical for me, since the last time I was assaulted by a female we were both about four.
