Any Freeper Espousing Racial/Ethnic/Religious Hatred is Hurting the War Effort

Freepers or anyone else who engage in bigoted attacks agains Arab Americans or innocent Muslims in this country are engaging in seditious conduct. By stirring up internal division and animosity they are helping the enemy.

Some of us need to grow up, some need to shut up, and more need to speak up.

UMMMM....I THINK Japanese were sent to camps because you could tell a Japanese from others.....you can't tell Germans from English, etc. very well....PLUS....in some cases they were sent there for their own protection (yes there were people very ANGRY after the Japanese bombed Pearl Harbor and probably threatening the Japanese.) Did SOME Japanese get treated badly? YES. Did most Japanese get treated humanely? YES. By the way, the Japanese in internment camps didn't end up the way my husband's Uncle did.....Dead in England after battling in the sky. What did his family get for that? His dog tag.

Did you read the post I was quoting -- the one I actually responed to? Did you think I was advocating internment camps? Or did you think that's not the issue raised by the original post? Let me quote if for you: "Muslims should not be in our midst at this point in time, and for much more serious reasons than [...] Japanese AMericans had to be sent to camps." If that message casts FR in disrepute, say so. If America and FR don't need that kind of post right now, stand up and say so in a loud and clear voice.

You would have made a great Brownshirt in Hitler's Germany. Most of them were also losers looking for a cause and a way to get back at everyone who made them feel inadequate (which was pretty much everyone; hitting close to home yet?).

You know----you are 100% right. Zook never suggested we should have left the Nazis alone because they were white Germans, or stop picking on the KKK because they were white (and never killed as many as were killed in NY this week).

This has NOTHING to do with race. Anyone saying the defenders of lives lost in NY is a racist can get lost.

While I don't have a racist bone in my body, I wholeheartedly agree.

Well said.

Since moslims certainly don't seem to be very good about policing themselves, common sense calls for heavy doses of profiling. If they don't like it, they are free to leave.

You better wake up before it's too late!

I'd rather be called a "racist" and be alive, than "feel good" about some of them and get killed. Does that make me and others who think like me "Bad Americans"? If so, too bad!

Why was the Japanese internment only done to Japanese on the west coast? Why were their businesses and property taken away from them? If it was because they were Asian looking, then why weren't Koreans and Chineses interned? A lot of people have as musch trouble telling them apart as English from Germans. That revisionist BS doesn't hold water. Singling out law abiding Americans and taking away their rights of due process and equal protection is wrong.

At this time we must consider every muslim to be our enemy. This is not based on racism. This is not based on religious hatred. This is a prudent, common sense approach to take. This should not be construed as an open invitation to attack muslims in this country. But we must consider all of them as our enemy. Just as medical personnel use universal precautions with every patient. Just as responsible firearms owners treat every weapon as if it were loaded. We must consider every muslim to be America's enemy. We must find out where they live. We must keep an eye on them and report all suspicious activities to the appropriate authorities. We must never turn our backs to them, since they are cowards who will only attack you when your back is turned. We must be ever vigilant to their every movement. Americans need to understand the color codes of combat awareness and go to Condition Yellow. When a muslim is near you, you need to go to Condition Red. Muslims in America are going to feel a lot more uncomfortable. They had better get used to it. They are all under suspicion now. If muslims don't like it, then they need to consider moving to an islamic country. Right or wrong, all will now be considered suspect. That is one of the realities of war. And make no mistake about it, we are at war.

If you hate America and what it stands for..this might be the proper sentiment.

We are not at war with the majority of Muslims in the world. Please stop trying to whip up a Holy war with the Good Christians vs the EVIL Muslims. This isn't the time to be a religious opportunist.

It was probably a PANIC dummie...sometimes humans do dumb things when they are scared....besides there was an attack on the West Coast of Washington, also....that is little talked of.....by the Japanese. AND, most Japanese got their property back after the War...some did not...I KNOW BECAUSE MY In-Laws lived in a farming area populated with Japanese who went to internment camps - and they talk with disgust of what SOME people did to Japanese property, but at the same time speak of those who got their property back. WAR IS CRUEL.

I reserve the right to hate anyone I choose. I, as always, will disciminate towards the most logical and/or intuitive decision on whom to hate...or love, for that matter. But that's just me...

I have noticed this disturbing trend on Free Republic. The anger we should have towards terrorists is being directed inward towards other Americans. President Bush is trying to unite the American people, but some Freepers and others such as Falwell and Robertson are trying to drive a wedge betweens us. While we may have honest disagreements with each other over certain things, the following people are not enemies of America.

Democrats, liberals, gays, lesbians, members of the ACLU and People for the American Way, blacks, Muslims, and persons who are pro-choice. I may have left out someone but I'm sure certain Freepers can add additional groups or individuals they hate.

They are instead, Americans also, and most of them are united in our fight against terrorism.

The left wants Americans to believe a few isolated evil acts are comparable to what occurred in NYC and DC. Dan Rather and the CBS evening news just ran a piece about how Moslems in America are being persecuted.

You are right. It's as if some teenager tagging a Mosque with "USA" is equivalent to the last resort DNA sampling of an amputated foot to identify a human victim. God ... I hate these media jackals. If Frank Rich or Dan Rather were in my "swing-zone" .... to the moon.

Any freeper reducing concern over Islamic terrorists to "ethnic hatred" is hurting the war effort.
