http://www.meib.org/articles/0106_ir1.htm The link above is to: Iraqi Complicity in the World Trade Center Bombing and Beyond by Laurie Mylroie, which was published in June of this year and discusses the 1993 bombing of the WTC. She explains how Bill Clinton intentionally failed to confront Iraq over its complicity in the bombing and other attacks. She supported Clinton in 1992 having been an advisor on Iraq policy to the 1992 Clinton presidential campaign, as you can see at http://admissions.geneseo.edu/cgi-bin/nrap?Roemer98.html Her September 13, 2001 article in the Wall Street Journal on the recent attack is at http://opinionjournal.com/extra/?id=95001120 In a live interview on Los Angeles radio station KPFK, broadcast around noon today, PST, she stated that Clinton lied about more than sex; he lied about national security. I wish somebody would ask her about whether she thinks the Clinton administration covered up Iraqi involvment in the murder of those aboard TWA 800 and ordered the military not to pursue the attackers. Or whether there was Iraqi involvement in the Oklahoma City bombing that was not pursued. Regards, Allan J. Favish

Really?
Contrary to documented evidence that indicates the catastrpohic loss of a forward cargo bay door (AS HAS HAPPENED on several OTHER 747s)?
Not long after the event the WSJ published a report of a radar tape showing an unidentified vessel racing away from the crash scene as other vessels went in the other direction to assist in the 'rescue'.
According to the article the FBI was not able to ID that boat.
Although I do not buy the 'coverup' angle -- I'm a fundamental believer in incompetence -- the fact that that boat has never been located and the tape never denied is very worrisome.
and [the] OKC BombingAre you saying that the experienced invesigators hired by McVeigh's original lawyer, Oklahoma Jones, were incompetant?
And you THINK a bunch of geeks and social misfits on the internet are going to find the truth?
I don't THINK so ...
What about Tim McVeigh's claim he did it himself-
- and the corroborating testimony of Michael Fortier-
- and the TONS of evidence (including witnesses, phone records and sales reciepts for materials)?
Was McVeigh drugged and hypnotized during those interviews (that were the basis for the book)?
You know, he laughed at you conspiracy types who blow this up as you do into some HUGE gov't cover-up!
Something I'd really like to know from the 'conspiracy pinheads' -- do ANY of these conspiracy-minded books and videos or web sites EVER cover the model series, the history, the age, the accumulated flight hours or the total number of takeoff/landing cycles on that 747 that was TWA800?
I thought not ...
For you to ridicule people who question the official version of events as unsatisfactory given that track record is more than insulting. If the federal government were held to the same standards as others in courts of law, the Justice Department would have been disbarred a long time ago and hundreds of government officials would be behind bars.
That's not to say that everyone in government is a crook (they're not) and that every conspiracy theory is factual (they're not).
But to question whether a habitual liar is lying again does not make one a geek or a social misfit. It shows good judgment.
If you look at the time line of that event - the aircraft exploded *after* the initial event due to damage inflicted on the tanks due to the severe damage when the large, outward-opening cargo door blew out (fodding the right-side engines) followed by the forward fuselage separating (power cables/wires get ripped, as do fuel lines etc.) ...
People/investigators 'leak' (as Sen. Depends -er- Leahy does), to reporters who want stories - little 'snipets' here and there get mis-interpreted by non-technical reporters ... wind-up in the media ... whole story get 'distorted' ... THEN there's the internet ...
... it is WELL understood here that Xlinoon, X-42, Belzebubba is a habitual LIAR and a con man - but to insist that his influence extends outward and down to the lowest levels of our governmenmt's functioning so as to pervade EVERY agency and investigation, is, well, conspiratorial thinking at best ...
Of course, that is exactly what this former researcher for the U.S. State Department documents in her work. But, many others, who remain employed with the federal government, were involved. Mr. Bush, for this government to operate effectively, empty liberal heads need to roll.
Forgive my ignorance, but I don't recall the cargo door being cited as the cause of the center fuel tank explosion.
I remember a great hullabuloo over the center fuel tank, but not a cargo door.
Leahy is a convenient bogeyman for some now, but the issue here is federal government malfeasance and cover-ups--of which there are plenty of examples.
