KISS THE NOTION OF SEPERATION OF CHURCH AND STATE GOODBYE!!!
FR | 09/15/01 | ServesURight

The United States of America is a Christian nation again.

The Terrorist attacks have renewed America's faith in God. There will be no more ACLU/People for the American Way lawyers screaming about politicians and government officials openly praying anymore.

There will no more lawsuits against city officials and residents who display religious symbols during Christmas. No more outrage against high-school teams praying before games, no more Supreme Court decisions.

The atheists at the ACLU were probably defecating in their pants at the site of Congress and President attending the National Cathedral, and at the site of millions of Americans holding candlelight vigils and prayer groups across the country.

I dare the Left to make "seperation of church and state" an issue now.

And the people who don't want to pray? What are you going to do ..... isolate and ostracize them? Put a little star on their shirts?

This is not the time for a Christian taliban.

The Constitution came quite some time after the nation "started". I'm not in the habit of defending EEE, but he's right. This country was founded on religious freedom and tolerance. That is exactly why people came to this country.

Separation of Church and state was meant to keep the STATE out of religion. I see the state is CONSTANTLY ruling upon religious matters, I DON'T see the Churches proclaiming laws upon the state.

I guess Jews and Muslims will have to leave, then, right?

Indeed you are correct, and you should be extra careful of what you endorse in the name of politics. You will be judged for it.

Try and understand this concept. Once you allow one religion to become involved in the affairs of government, you have violated the 1st amendment. Why? Because Government would then be sponsoring a particular religion.

Why is that so difficult to understand?????

There ain't no separation of church and state, the prohibition is for the govenment to pass any rule or law dealing with religion.

The second part of you sentence contradicts the first.

Just because someone doesn't speak English here in Amercia, doesn't mean this isn't an English speaking country. Yes, this country's language is English, and the religion is Christianity/Judaism. Doesn't mean that others aren't welcome, but that's the way it is.

This country was founded on religious freedom and tolerance.

Your confusing why the colonists came here with why (and how) the nation was formed.

Oh really? Sorry, the divide and conquer routine might work in the middle east...but it isn't going to fly here.

Pray at home, pray at Church, pray in your car, pray whenever, wherever you wish...but do not presume that YOUR PRAYER speaks for everyone in your workplace.

We are being attacked by muslims because we are a Christian nation. And because we support Israel.

The first part is incorrect. The second part is correct.
