David Shippers, former House legal counsel for the impeachment investigation and author of Sell Out, was interviewed by Quinn on his radio show this AM. Shippers had some very interesting things to say....some examples, Shippers claims that he contacted the Justice Dept weeks agon with warnings that a large terrorist strike involving southern Manhattan was imimnent. He was ignored. He also states that our best Middle Eastern terrorist expert, an FBI agent, has yet to be consulted. Essentially, Shippers is stating that when all is said and done the American public will find that the authorities had lots of information on a potential strike yet did nothing...and that the quick arrests are because of this fact...and the brave actions of flight attendants who phoned in the seat numbers of the terrorists before they were killed. I think this information needs to be heard and discussed...and have been urging national news shows to interview Shippers ASAP. Shippers interview with Quinn can be heard archived at www.warroom.com/archives the Wed 9/12 show.

This smells fishy.

Despite my zeal at having a fairly conservative republican elected, government is still a gaint super-tanker of a tool, too large to manuevor, to costly, too grasping, to invasive and too set in its ways. There will be plenty of blame and woulda-coulda-shoulda to go around. Bush will get his share and will no doubt deserve some of it.

This is sounding more and more like Pearl Harbor...could the government have allowed this to happen so that our rights might be restricted and /or that we could go into the mid east?

Interesting stuff but there isn't enough that's concrete. First off, telling the FBI an attack is "imminent" means nothing. What kind of attack, who will be involved, where are they right now? That's the information that's needed. Even when tips go all the way down to the personal level they need something to go on. One of the scariest things about this one is that, other than the conspiracy, until they actually took the planes over they didn't do anything illegal. We need to hae something to arrest people for.
We need some serious reviews of how we process intelligence of all kinds in this country, we need to get more pro-active, follow up more leads. But we can't let "terrorist" replace "child abuse" as an all purpose accusation to throw at people to ruin their lives. We have a very delicate balance that must be maintained. Remember, the Bill of Rights was constructed to ALLOW the people to overthrow the government; we have to figure out where the line between what the founders wanted us to be able to do, and what these scumbags are doing is, and never cross it.

FYI--could this be related to the raid on InfoCom in Texas and the OKC bombing?

Remember the FBI raid on the Arab owned and operated Internet hosting firm in Texas a few weeks back? Was there ever a followup to what that was all about? Secret warrants and stuff. Possible connections to terrorists, etc. I recall this every time people suggest that we were sitting around doing nothing. Perhaps we were working on it, but simply failed to succeed in preventing what we knew was coming. Most likely, multiple plans were in place. For all we know, several possible terrorist attacks were already prevented and this one just happened to slip through. There are so many arm chair generals running around. None of us have any idea how big the war really is and if Tuesday's attack was simply a "stray bomb" that happened to slip through.

I hope that Shippers is interviewed by O'Reilly. I would like to know who he spoke to at Justice. There are still a lot of Clinton left-overs there and it's possible that the information was not passed on to the proper people.

This is sounding more and more like Pearl Harbor...could the government have allowed this to happen so that our rights might be restricted and /or that we could go into the mid east?Judging from all of the CFR pinkos like Quayle, Kissenger, Brokaw, and etc on TV screaming for war, I'd say you're onto something. This is a VERY coordinated call for war and "the sacrifice of some liberties" from the globalist establishment.
And the sheeple will sing along....all the way to the camps.

How can you say Bush will deserve some of it??? He's been in office for almost 9 whole months!! He had a horrible economy to deal with....he worked very hard to get the tax cut even when the congress was given to the democrats under false pretenses and you are gonna put blame on him for inheriting an administration who gave the world our national secrets and decreased military spending and border patrol??? The master mind of this whole thing (besides BinLaden) enterd the US in 1992...exactly 8.? years ago!! And you want to put some blame on Bush????You must be kidding.
