Talking to many people from here in Singapore as well as other nationalities who live here, I have heard nothing but praise and respect for our president. It's an embarrassment that even in a time of national distress and crisis we can't get a decent word out of the mouths of our media.

These media yahoo's want the silver-tongued liar-in-chief back.....guess they'll never learn the difference between a genuine President who means what he says and can be trusted and any ole Hollywood type who'll give a magnificent presentation of LIES!!!! IDIOTS!!!

NBC's Campbell Brown just this morning broadcast in front of the White House, and said people had complained about the president's lack of confidence when he spoke. She went on at length, saying that people hoped the president could give us a sense of confidence. She did not say Bush was giving Americans confidence. The MSNBC poll shows that 80% of the American people support him. I guess the other 20% are the media and those that condone acts of war against our country.

"Vile media" for sure. Since this national tragedy, President Bush has conducted himself with dignity and has shown himself to be a leader. The news media, on the other hand, are what they have always been -- leftist scum.

Long before this attack, I began to dislike Newsmax.
They are a pathetic excuse for a news site and thier examples here that are "sent in by readers" are just silly. I agree that Jennings was a major league Clymer throughout this thing, but Rather handled the entire day with dignity and professionalism. Every article I have seen posted by NewsMax here, has been littered with innuendo, quotes taken out of context and speculation. Chris Ruddy and Carl Limbacher are doing nothing more then fanning the flames of people's emotions for webhits. That is just disgusting.
They are less reliable than the National Enquirer and more disgusting than Slate.

Chicago - WLS - Don and Roma Morning Show. Ann 'the slug' Compton made a brief phone-in to plug ABC coverage. First thing out of her mouth was Bush bashing. Don and Roma jumped on her with four feet. 'The slug' didn't what happened and I'm sure we won't be bothered by her crap during the morning drive again.

For sure, Americans are fed up with the communication skills of elitists such as Jennings, Rather, and you, Campbell!Send these reporters to Afganistan to do reports. Maybe they can be a target?

The worst drivel I heard was an interview of an Ex CIA Director by some BBC Info-twit (Female) who asked whether the CIA guy believed that the the attack was caused by the Bush Administration's isolationism. The CIA guy looked at her like she had just eaten a bug, I could see him thinking "Yep, the Rag Heads are pissed over Kyoto".

Yesterday, just before Mueller gave his briefing, Peter Jennings stated something to the effect of:
Remember folks, this man in brand new at this job [as FBI Director}.
I screamed at the screen yet again. ABC is the only channel I can receive at the office and was so releaved to return home and settle in before Fox News.

President Bush has really done an excellent job of handling the ongoing events this week. He is really a true leader for this country. I will say it again. I'm very embarrased for America that we have the kind of news media we have right now. These people seem to be more interested in advancing their own political agenda than in serving the news and information needs of it's consumers.
A tremoudous disservice is being done to the public by these news organizations. Now is not the time to diss our great leader, President Bush. Rather, it's time to stand behind him during this period of National Emergency.
Regards.

Add Geraldo to the list for dissin' Bush for not going directly back to the Whitehouse and for dissin' the "claims" that he was in danger.

Maybe someone needs to tell Campbell Brown that she speaks like Thurston Howell the Third, and it's NOT charming.

"some presidents are articulate and some are not."Actually, that's true. What's an even more astounding fact is that a majority of our "most articulate" presidents were also the worst - from a constitutional standpoint. I'd much prefer a dumb ox in the White House if it means getting through four years without the State expanding and Freedom shrinking.
As for Rather, Jennings, etc. They've sacrificed their credibility long ago. Most Americans are onto their little game of a soapbox disguised as news anchorism. They have less than a generation to propagandize ... so they're working overtime to fulfill their mission to spread the Gospel of Liberalism far and wide.

These media idiots are the enemy's fifth column. It would be foolish to strike out, while they are poisoning us from within. Start with the enemies at home.

I remember watching these events unfold on Tuesday morning and hearing various news media "reporters" making snide remarks about President Bush's whereabouts.
It occurred to me then that these ignorant dimwits (a), will use any opportunity, including an unconscionable attack on the United States to trash Bush and (b), have absolutely no idea about the enormous security precautions that go into effect in a situation like this.
Of course, if the rapist were still President, we would've heard how "Mr. Clinton's whereabouts are under tight security so he can provide leadership during this national tragedy..."

I actually hope the media continue their Bush bashing. It exposes them for the mean-spirited, frauds that they are. Bush's turn-the-other-cheek philosophy is nerve-racking at times, but Bush has patience of steel. He knows that in the long run, Americans will grow tired of the media beating up on this kind, gentle man, who never speaks ill of those who attack him day after day in the written and spoken word. Hollywood and the "mainstream" media will be losers in the end. Of course, those of us in the know, already knew that the elite establishment consists of a bunch of losers. Now the rest of America will join us in that knowledge.
