Peter Jennings and Dan Rather were polled enough times to make up 8% just by themselves??

Bill Clinton is saddened by the fact that this never happened on his watch...

All he had was OKC, and he may have had a hand in that, for all that is actually known...

If MSNBC has him at 80% approval, Fox must have him at 99.9%. This is huge for for a MSNBC poll.

What's really great is that Clinton is stuck in Australia and can't get home to get his ugly mug in front of the TV. I hope Bush keeps the planes grounded........LOL.

So does this mean there are 12% who still can't make up their minds?
Good God, some people are truly clueless.

Yeah, but not Peter Jennings, Dan Rather, Brian Williams, Bryant Gumbel, Katie Couric, and the other leftist, marginally-American suspects, in the media, in academia, in the elite Leftist policy shops and foundations and the Eco-rad-nazi organizations..

OKC saved the presidency for Clinton so he says.
The media must be disappointed that the poll shows such a high approval rating for President Bush. They will have to work harder at their bashing of him until they get the people straightened out.

Please don't get mad at me, what I have to say a lot people around me are saying and I wanted to share it with Free Republic

I am very disappointed with the President's performance --

1. His first remark (and only unscripted one) said he would "find the folks who did this" Actually used the words "folks" to describe these monsters. What an understatement. Even that pipsqueak Tony Blair used "eradicate this evil." Not exactly Lincoln, or FDR or JFK. Even though the moment requires someone like that.

2. At a time of national crisis, he gave the appearance of hiding. First in Louisiana and then in Nebraska. I know the Secret Service was moving him around according to pre-established procedures, but a real man would stopped them and returned to Washington immediately. VP Cheney never left the White House and Secretary of Defense Rumsfeld stayed at the Pentagon, even though it was on fire. Mayor Rudi Guiliani never left New York City. Guiliani actually had to walk from City Hall (near WTC) to Midtown in the chaos of the streets of New York.

3. Once he returned to Washington, he gave a weak and uninspired speech. Obviously it had been written for him by committee - so bland and bureaucratic it sounded.

4. Now using words like "evil" and "mass murder," he carefully did not say it was an "act of war." Preferring instead to "bring them to justice." Certainly, a carefully calibrated policy statement. Lots of loopholes in that one. Is he going find a few people and try them for murder, while the rest of the terrorist apparatus stays in business?

5. The next day, after the polls showed that 90% of Americans felt it was an act of war, Bush starts calling it an "act of war." Also, the next day, we find that the hijackers had specifically targeted Air Force One. That's why he had to move around! No! That's spin to respond to criticism of his movements the previous day.

Next he'll be bombing empty buildings with cruise missiles.

Well maybe not. I actually have a lot of confidence in his (his father's) national security team.

He and Gore both. And he's had to see little wifey getting air time today. Don't you know his face is bleeding red by now and all young fair Australian maidens are fair game!

The US Armed Forces are mobilizing right now. Local news says many tankers and personnel deploying to a classified location. These planes only go to support air refueling of bombers and fighters far away from US shores. I suspect many other military bases are also deploying as well so Bush ain't gonna play around here.

I predict carpet bombing, cruise missle attacks and Nato and Russian aircraft bombing several known terrorist camps, training areas etc.. I bet this will be the largest and most wide spread (country wise) bomb campaign spread out over several countries since WWII. I think we will hit 10-12 countries that harbor terrorists. I suspect there may be some ground troops involved as well.

After this is done check Bush's poll numbers again!

Nice of you to drop by FR to leave that LOAD; this is your first post since 1998, apparently.

We are in a crisis. Stand behind OUR president or be quiet.
