Canada was very helpful yesterday. They allowed dozens of international planes to be diverted to Nova Scotia so that they didn't have to go anwhere near LAX.

Identification of a terrorist is relative...undoubtedly they assume many identities in the course of a carreer.

Thinking about it, and although I am not an experienced Pilot, this took some bearing to turn these planes and know where to go from their turning point back to their intended targets...Now I may be wrong, but if someone is not from and area, how is it they found their land marks, or, how was it they knew their compass headings?

With all involved in air traffic, a turn around cannot be rehersed very easily because these planes to my knowledge, do not always take the same exact path from point a to point be...point being, I think these "Terrorists" lived here for a while, and flew a plane around here for a while. If they never flew over the right coast, they are indeed good to navigate back a couple hundred miles and find their targets...very good indeed.

GPS, Global Postioning System. Standard equipment on airliners. All one would need to know is LAT/LON of the Manhattan.

How would he know that? Were the different planes in radio contact? If they were, those communications were presumably monitored -- and recorded.

This cell could account for the hijacking of both planes out of Boston, in which case this would be one cell out of three, not four. But whether or not there was another cell in Boston -- and thus presumably another vehicle with more evidence there, there are no doubt such vehicles to be found at the parking lots of Newark and Washington Dulles Airports.

Heard this morning on CBS news radio (I believe) that several men were arrested yesterday after being found in a car full of explosives. Apparently their destination was the George Washington Bridge that connects NY to NJ.

According to FOX news, Barbara Olson was forced to make that call reporting the seat number of one of the hijackers and to announce they were about to die. She cancelled her scheduled flight the day before, to share a birthday breakfast with Ted Olson.

No doubt, this day will hold many more horrific stories for us as well as some miracles. One man, clinging out of the Tower window, rode the building as it crumbled and survived.
