I can roughly quote William Cohen from his live interview on CNN within the last 10 minutes: "We are going to have to make some tough decisions in this country. We are going to have to "garbled" when making choices between security and civil liberties."

And I can't imagine there'll be many Americans not supporting it. This is beyond horrible. Expand your list to Saudi Arabia and the other oil countries that have financed these monsters.

Franklin's aphorism is as good today as it was when first written, and I paraphrase, "Those who are willing to sacrifice a bit of liberty for a bit of security -- are worthy of neither." Well, consider this: When I was growning up, you could get on a plane as a passenger without having luggage or your personal things checked ... But today, would you even get on a plane that did not check? We DO give up some freedoms for security.

I just can not imagine the US & Israeli not having some kind of intelligence reports on this. It is just too big an operation for some one in the "Intelligence Family" not to have know something BIG was in the works....
But then maybe I am expecting too much from my government which is suppose to serve and protect!

Well, the clinton administration surely sent a signal to terrorists by our forceful response to the embassy bombings, the Cole attack, and of course the Flight 800 attack. I heard Kalstrom on WABC and I wanted to scream.........what happened when we had a chance to stop these ba$tards....we sent a monica bomb to an aspirin factory and bombed an empty cave.

I'm not sure who our enemies are. People need to cool down. If we react too quickly, and attack people who turn out not to be connected with the events today, we're going to have lots of problems in the future.

We can bring it out to those who are part of this enemy axis and stop it. That means US military presence and action in the world. But first you have to say "Thank You" to Senator Frank Church for showing all those unwilling souls how to get to Heaven early. May he rot...

It is scary when they want to march in our streets and not take the fight overseas.

I heard a reporter ask Sen. Biden about the remark that this is WAR, and he replied (out of context?) "Oh, I hope not!" If true, what an idiot.

We say, "You kill 10,000 of ours. We incinerate 10,000,000 of yours." AGREED.

The way to prevent this from happening again is to respond quick, respond deadly, respond with a message. I envision a large area of the middle east being transformed from sand to glass by the judicious application of copious amounts of heat.

We DO give up some freedoms for security. Hasn't done much good, as demonstrated today.

Who told you that? We're here to serve and protect THEM.

I just can not imagine the US & Israeli not having some kind of intelligence reports on this Senator Frank Church could, which is why he gutted the CIA back in the 70's. We have practically no human intelligence gathering (no spies) in the field now, just the spies in the skies.

We can't nuke them they have our oil. We need to invade, conquor and indefinitely occupy all Arab countries and commandeer their oil resources. Then take care of the terrorists in those countries.

Actually, President Carter was the one most responsible for the destruction of HUMINT capabilities in our intelligence services.
The chickens are now coming home to roost, so to speak!

I'm not sure who our enemies are. People need to cool down. If we react too quickly, and attack people who turn out not to be connected with the events today, we're going to have lots of problems in the future. There are lists of our enemies, such as the list of where our troops now deployed in over 100 countries. There is also a list of every country that the United States has bombed since 1941- at least one country each year. I guess we can start with those lists. I think whoever did this, was from one of those places.

"Was it scarier than watching 10000 people die?"
I didn't see it live and I am still in disbelief after seeing the video.

We can't nuke them they have our oil Then maybe it's time to break out the neutron bomb.
P.S. It's not "our" oil.
