There are only a few groups with the resources and orginazation to carry out such a large, co-ordinated attack. Lets just kill them all and be done with it.

So yes, I would have to say that the fact that it was a large, expensive, coordinated, and suicidal attack with no fore warning tends to point at OBL, who is capable of sending a dozen or more suicide teams into the USA weeks in advance.

It could also be a nation state or states that specifically sponsored this action. I note that the only real candidates for this would be a state that could harness religous fervor in their supporters. I am not going to theorize any more at this point, but it could be a combination of entities.

How did so many terrorists get past airport security checkpoints ???

This is easy. Most of the employees (baggage handlers, food services,cleaning crews, stewardesses, etcc...), are low paid, uncleared person who have FREE ACCESS to SECURE AREAS and AIRPLANES. You get 2 or three of these inside terrorist per airport (EASY) and BAM!!! you have it. Terrorist don't take UZI through security, they are stashed in luggage, food containers, and crew areas by EMPLOYEES of the AIRLINE.

If are Serious about planning this..It would not be hard to get some terrorist employed as $5-$9 hrs airport and airline employees

Would seem that it's time to engage in our own energy production and forget about supplies from the Arab world. Seems reasonable to me. We got plenty of oil in the Gulf of Mexico, Alaska, hell, there's a lot of it offshore of California (time to open up that area).
