WEST WING star Rob Lowe claims President Clinton once let Lowe's two children play with the special briefcase that holds the coordinates for the nation's nuke bombs!
MORE
Lowe says that during one White House visit -- the president did nothing as his kids toyed with the case across the South Lawn.
"My kids were carrying the football -- the briefcase with the nuclear coordinates with all of our launch codes," Lowe tells PLAYBOY magazine in fresh editions. "My 7-year-old and 4-year-old had the nuclear launch codes of the United States."
The episode occurred after Lowe and his family watched Clinton give a radio talk in the Oval Office, the actor reveals.
But has Lowe been eating some of Aaron Sorkin's [executive producer of WING] fancy mushrooms?
The White House Communications Agency says the football which contains the nuclear launch codes is not even kept by the President -- but instead carried by a military officer, who must undergo the nation's most rigorous security background check!

Sort of reminds you of Monica "servicing" THE SCUMBAG while he was on the telephone discussing military deployments with a congressman.

OH MY GOD! I got goose bumps all over, thinking someone dangerous could've snatched that brief case away from those kids!! I HATE THAT SCUMBAG!! That's how much he thought about this country!

The Football (http://www.fas.org/nuke/guide/usa/c3i/nuclear-football.htm)
John Kline, a 25-year veteran of the Marine Corps, had the unique distinction of carrying the football for both Carter and Reagan. (...)
During the April 1999 NATO summit in Washington, President Clinton left his aide and the football behind when he unexpectedly left a session 45 minutes early. The aide walked the 41/2 blocks back to the White House without incident.
"I can't imagine that happening," said Kline. "I'd have nightmares for the rest of my life."

Rob Lowe is a conservative by the way.I don't know about that, perhaps as compared to most in hollywood, but a freeper he sure aint.
I saw him on the Dennis Miller show, and he sounded fairly moderate. Maybe like a liberal Republican (Giuliani style). What surprised me was how Dennis Miller took him to task for all of hollywood being clinton sycophants and liberals.. not that that makes DM a conservative, but I think he is at least honest enough to see something there.

BTW, this scenario doesn't seem possible.

I am not sure if this particular story is true, but we can all be sure that this country was in real danger for 8 years with this poor excuse for a man.
In time, perhaps more stories will come out about the lax security measures in the Clinton administration.

Oh man, Drudge is going to be fun to listen to tonight.

Was that the one with "Snow White"?
To: Alissa
I don't know the policy but when I had contact with goings on in the White House back in the early to mid sixtys a Marine Leutenant carried the code sachel. That would have been in Kennedy and Johnson's administration. There is no way in hell that a Marine would give that case up to anyone, other than the President, much less a couple of kids. I think that Rob Lowe's dreaming.

I have no idea what you are talking about, and I assume that you don't either.

Rob Lowe is a conservative by the way. Then who was that guy at the 1988 Democrat convention?

ROB LOWE CLAIMS: PRESIDENT CLINTON ONCE LET MY KIDS HANDLE NUKE SECRETS! ...and for just a moment, those secrets were safe!
To: Alissa
After Lowe's kids were done playing with the nuclear secrets Clinton sold them to China.

You're likely correct.
That's why it was a question (?) not a statement.
