HOUSTON — Could Texas really turn blue? This year’s U.S. Senate race is testing whether Democrats can win a seat the state has kept in Republican hands for nearly four decades. Democrat James Talarico is facing Republican Ken Paxton in a contest that has renewed attention on Democrats’ chances of winning statewide. Texas last elected a Democrat to the U.S. Senate in 1988, when Lloyd Bentsen won reelection. A Talarico victory would end that 38-year drought.

“Better a known and obvious enemy than a false friend.”

Horseshit! If Clarence Thomas dies in the next two years, Cornyn would have voted for a good replacement. Purists NEVER have power for long because the USA is not a super-conservative country!

Agreed.
Paxton was not a good candidate. And he didn't even try to win, really. Just TV ads and text messages.
Any decent candidate would have beaten Talarico. But we didn't run a decent candidate.

Talarico winning in Texas blows my mind.

So you really think the Democrats will ever make things affordable? What a joke. You should move to California and see how affordable it is.

Cornyn would have won, but he sided with the dimrats.
Might as well have been a dim himself.

Worthless POS.

Not all the votes are in and if Paxton does somehow fall short, he can take it in the recount.

Don’t vomit that RINO garbage.

If Texans possessed ANY shred of integrity, they would have happily voted for Paxton. Who cares if he committed adultery?? He wasn’t running for Pope.

Talarico is a demented, satanic, Anti-American PEDOPHILE, yet the Bible thumpers proudly voted for the pedo.

I will be slammed for pointing out facts, but I don’t care. Holier Than Thou Evangelicals are just as much of a danger to the US as are Muslims and leftist AWFULS.

Evangelicals will happily vote for Anti-American Demonrats if the Republican candidate isn’t “pure” and “perfect”. SHAME ON THEM!!

Shame on Texas! Texas is obviously as Anti-American as the far-left crapholes such as Georgia, North Carolina, South Carolina, Virginia, Michigan, etc.

“Who the hell thought an adulterer...”

That is a Christan sentiment. Telefreako said he hated Christianity.

Texans have become fools.

I think you overestimate the number of Christians in Texas. The gate is narrow and the path is wide.

“Shame on Texas!”

If I had a way to address the people of Texas, I would tell them they have become a state of fools.

You should direct your concerns to Ken Paxton.
He made his own choices.

“Trump just didn’t know when to keep his mouth closed.”

In my mind, I think a huge mistake — maybe the biggest — was letting the war go on so long. He announced, “... bomb the sh!t of them” and “I’ll have it over in two weeks”. If he had said neither of those things, the issue wouldn’t be so glaring now at election time.

Wrong, Leftist bot.

Texans are obviously proudly Anti-American imbeciles, especially the worthless, evil evangelicals. Anyone who refused to vote for Paxton can burn in Hell and is an enemy of the American people.

Return to BlueSky and your fellow insurrectionists..

Wrong.

Evil, hypocritical, holier than thou insurrectionists obviously prefer a PEDOPHILE to an adulterer. How evil is that??

I hope Texas, especially the hypocritical Bible thumpers, get it good and hard.

I think the Republicans would have held on better if someone had kept Trump from posting on Truth Social.

The post he made where he dropped an F-bomb and ended with "Praise be to Allah"...on Easter Sunday...was a prime example.
