HOUSTON — Could Texas really turn blue? This year’s U.S. Senate race is testing whether Democrats can win a seat the state has kept in Republican hands for nearly four decades. Democrat James Talarico is facing Republican Ken Paxton in a contest that has renewed attention on Democrats’ chances of winning statewide. Texas last elected a Democrat to the U.S. Senate in 1988, when Lloyd Bentsen won reelection. A Talarico victory would end that 38-year drought.

Agree! That was not the president’s fault. It was Massie’s.
The Rats can't just declare that they have amnesty -- they'd have to pass a bill. Trump would veto it.
The election results attest to that fact, like it or not. You must remember that with the rise of TV, the Internet, and poor education, the collective American memory is on a level with fruit flies.

The Rats ran evil candidates who won because they lie. Our education system has dumbed down the population so much that they buy all the BS the DemonRats feed them.
Yeah. Sorry. The site is so slow, I hit the button several times.
Why? Trump has TDS.
Without stronger GOP candidates, it is already Blue.
It is hard to watch them doing to Texas what they did to Colorado. At least Senate Republicans can be happy. They can continue to do what they do best. Nothing.
Maybe the exit polling will support that, but Paxton had a pretty long baggage train.
I don’t think a lot of Republicans voted for him. But I do think a lot just stayed home. Seems to be the case around my way. A lot of local R pols lost — some who had been in office nearly forever.
I also think that Texas has had a big influx of people from Blue states. Some were fleeing Blue states, but others were just relocating when their companies fled Blue states. Either way, their voting habits did not change much.
Lastly, lots of conservative Boomers are dying off.
Who are you talking about? Rick Jackson & Collins aren’t PEDOPHILES, you weirdo!
There are plenty of blue states that are affordable, even California as long as you are not in one of the major cities. Same for New York, Mass, and so on. It would help you to get out and travel a bit.
It’s cheaper to live in Fresno than in Austin.
I actually travel quite a bit. If you love those states and think they’re perfect, then I am happy for you. However, looking at official cost of living data, I can assure you that those states you love so much are very expensive.
Dude, get some reading skills. Nowhere did I say I loved any state or that any state was perfect.
That said, it’s cheaper to live in Fresno than in Austin.
Republicans only have themselves to blame.
They controlled this state for the past 30 years, and all the Hindus and Muslims came here on their watch.
I’m sorry facts hurt you so much. I travel a great deal for work, and my index for daily allowance is much higher in blue states. We use a simple table. California is almost 2x Arkansas. Didn’t mean to hurt your widdle feelings.
