Tommy Robinson conviction leaves far right with leadership void/BARF

The verdict was met with a groan from Tommy Robinson’s supporters, who had sat behind the dock throughout his harassment trial.

It took more than 11 hours of jury deliberations to find the far-right activist guilty of harassment causing fear of violence to two journalists, enough time for a band of lieutenants and hangers-on to get their hopes up that he might be acquitted.

Yet as Robinson, whose real name is Stephen Yaxley-Lennon, potentially faces up to 10 years in prison, another narrative has now taken hold. A miscarriage of justice has taken place, according to messages pumped out across his own media platforms and the ecosystem of self-styled “citizen journalists”. Some carried wild commentary during the trial, including from Robinson himself, who wondered aloud about a “Muslim” member of the jury.

I don't know if you've ever heard of Katie Hopkins, but she's a British media personality, and commentator. She's a big supporter of Tommy Robinson. She just finished a summer tour of her stand-up show in American cities, and is now back home. She's also on YouTube. She has epilepsy, and because she referred to herself as a spaz in one of her videos, the Devon and Cornwall police arrested her following a complaint, and interviewed her "under caution" for 2 hours. This was a year ago. They ended up dropping the complaint because the prosecutors refused to pursue the charges.

And the US and Israel are in the place of the French and the European volunteers who came over to help back then. And now we have stealth jets and missiles and drones. Oh, my! The French never had any of that. Neither did the British.
