Following his weekly general audience on Wednesday, Pope Leo XIV met with clerical and lay activists for immigrants detained by ICE in his native Chicago.
Following his October 28 audience, the American pontiff met with Bishop José María García Maldonado, auxiliary bishop of Chicago, and several priests and lay members of the Coalition for Spiritual and Public Leadership (CSPL), a group that specializes in “bringing pastoral care” to local migrants detained by ICE, per Vatican News. Since the beginning of his pontificate, Pope Leo has repeatedly emphasized caring for “migrants,” rarely distinguishing between legal and illegal immigrants.
“You have inspired us and countless Bishops to carry on this work across the country,” Tiffany Swann-Covington, a lay member, said she told Pope Leo during the meeting. “Please continue to pray for us and encourage us through your words and your guidance.”

I needn’t repeat myself with links about the laws against immigrants entering, intruders going over the border or the Vatican’s historic wall being 40 feet thick at its thickest.
Despite the colorful historic Swiss Guard uniforms, the Vatican uses undercover police, snipers, heavy duty automatic weapons including large caliber rounds and hundreds of on duty police with orders to shoot to kill threats.
And hundreds of years of not only allowing the death penalty but paying for an official executioner who used a bludgeon, various blades and crushing devices before the guillotine became the method of choice. People who saw the Vatican executioner walking on the path got excited and gathered together hundreds to eagerly watch what they knew was an execution coming.
The Vatican built a big beautiful wall centuries ago, imagine that!

I wonder if the commander of Pope Leo’s Swiss Guards was at the meeting.
I say that because the Swiss Guards are utterly ruthless in removing unauthorized people from the Vatican. Maybe these pro-immigration folks can convince the Swiss Guards to stand aside, and let all immigrants in.

What’s funny is that it was Trump that allowed religious institutions in the US far greater freedom of movement in their sermons and positions in issues, pulling the IRS treating their tax status off their back.
All this is true, it is said the Lord hates a hypocrite. I think frank and now leo are something much worse. I am a Catholic but l cannot be a part of what this church has become. It is fallen and indwelt.

Where was that papal greeting that was twice denied to the organizers of the traditional Catholics' Summorum Pontificum pilgrimage?
Does the lobos think an audience granted to David Axelrod or with the premiere spokesperson of sodomy, James Martin, S.J., to be standard?
