A friend and advisor to socialist New York City Mayor Zohran Mamdani met with the president of Cuba during a luxe trip to the communist nation — where they conspired to subvert US foreign policy, according to a since-deleted travel diary obtained by The Post.
Danny Valdez, who hosted a fundraiser for Mamdani’s mayoral campaign in 2025, traveled to Cuba with a delegation from the DSA International Committee from Oct. 22 to Oct. 26, 2023, according to the Nov. 9, 2023 blog post, entitled “The Cuba Diaries.”
The delegation met with President Miguel Diaz-Canel on the third day of the trip with the purpose of partnering to end the US embargo, in place since 1962, three years after Fidel Castro imposed a communist dictatorship on the island, he recalled.

The mid-terms are coming right up, and I think the GOP could do well against the Death To America Party. But the GOP would have to try. I’m not sure they’re doing that.
Whenever two or more rats are together, they conspire to subvert US foreign policy. Plenty of republicrats share the yoke pulling America to destruction. (quoting a Freeper who used the yoke reference recently).

Message: Danny Valdez is a friend and advisor to socialist NYC Mayor Zohran Mamdani and hosted a fundraiser for Mamdani’s mayoral campaign in 2025.
Valdez traveled to Communist Cuba with the DSA International Committee Oct 22-26, 2023, as recorded in a Nov. 9, 2023 blog entitled “The Cuba Diaries.”
DSA International Committee (DSA-IC) is the main body of the “Democratic Socialists of America” responsible for global solidarity, anti-imperialist campaigns, external diplomacy, and political education on international issues.
Valdez met with the communist nation’s president where they colluded and conspired to subvert US foreign policy, according to a since-deleted travel diary obtained by The NY Post.
Colluding with a foreign government or intelligence service to gather, transmit, or conceal vital US government information and to act as an unregistered foreign agent violates federal espionage statutes and the Foreign Agents Registration Act (FARA). Such acts carry severe prison terms (or the death penalty in extreme wartime/defense information cases).
ROFLOL. How stupid are the people from NYC to vote for people trying to destroy them, and complain about those who pointed it out.
Really, really stupid. But that’s the Big Apple… they know they are better than everyone else.
So the DSA and other communists think the old-fashioned embargo against Cuba is rough? Wait til they get all the new measures the Trump administration has invented for Iran.
The average Cuban may not have any more guns to use against government officials than the average Iranian. But I bet they have a lot more machetes.
Cuba sucks because of Communism/socialism, not because of US foreign policy. IMHO we should never have let Cuba, a country just over 90 miles from the Florida keys, become or stay Communist. By doing so we essentially invited the USSR to put nukes that close to the US - and they did.
First of all, we should not have let US organized crime develop a foothold in Cuba and we should have developed closer economic ties to Cuba and helped them to become a prosperous capitalist society. That would have been the best way to prevent Batista’s coup and subsequent suspension of the Cuban constitution. Instead, we supported Batista - who was authoritarian and alienated a significant percentage of Cubans. That created the opportunity and conditions for Castro to pursue the Revolution.
Many Cubans, on the other hand, did not support the revolution. armed guerrillas numbered only at most 20,000 combatants, out of a total Cuban population of over 6 million people (<0.3% of the population). As a consequence of their actions, 1-1.4 million Cubans (the ones who were able to escape Cuba) escaped as exiles. Those Cubans who remained included those who opposed the revolution but who couldn’t get out, along with those who were supportive of the Revolution. Arguably, many of those who supported the Revolution at its inception and then culmination in 1959 did not think that the Revolution would lead to Communism by 1961.
In short, we did a poor job preventing the instability and conditions that led to Communism and not long after USSR nukes in Cuba. Hindsight is 20/20, but the Cuban people have now had 65 years of oppressive Communism as a consequence of us not paying attention to one of our closest neighbors.
.
As did Karen Bass - democrat social-communist mayor of LA.
That’s treason and should be handled as such
Unregistered foreign agent
Wonder how many in the democrat party are one?.
A lot of shade and other dark spots in that party MSM raps desk.
Good points.
That whole ‘people’s grocery stores’ crap came out of the Cuban/commie playbook. Commie goons know if you control the food, you control the people. Starve a few hundred thousand or million people to death and you get their attention.
Mayor Zohran Mamdani didn’t get the ‘control’ part - that commie trick ONLY works if citizens can be starved to death. It doesn’t work when a free people can hop on a subway and shop somewhere else...
