Texas Dem James Talarico takes LGBTQ group’s cash — after vowing to ban trans surgeries for kids

Radical US Senate candidate James Talarico of Texas held a Big Apple fundraiser hosted by leaders of a group that supports gender surgery and transition drugs for minors — weeks after insisting he opposes the controversial practices.

In a Sept. 8 Fox News interview, the Democratic state legislator facing Republican Texas Attorney General Ken Paxton in a critical November race, said he’d vote in favor of a national ban on gender surgery for minors if elected to the Senate.

And the 37-year-old also claimed he’s “been consistent on this issue,” adding that his earlier opposition to a Texas bill to ban transgender surgeries on minors was simply because the measure “was overly broad.”

Yet Talarico’s Tuesday Greenwich Village fundraiser was hosted by three people who serve on the boards of the Human Rights Campaign or its foundation — an organization that advocates access to what it calls “gender-affirming care” for transgender minors, according to TexasScoreCard.com.

The reception’s hosts included Morgan Cox, who sits on the HRC’s board of directors; author Andrew Solomon, who serves on the HRC Foundation Board of Directors; and former US Ambassador to Spain James Costos, who sits on both the HRC and its foundation boards, according to an event flyer.

As the title of the article stated, Talarico now states he opposes sex change surgeries for minors. And yet he is raising money for groups which do support "gender affirming care." Beware of weasel words. Sex altering drugs can also do severe damage.

It is only fools, simpletons, gullible, and uninformed people who may be disturbed or outraged because this person says he is against trans surgeries for children but will accept their money.

(This also includes people who don't want to accept that evil exists in this world and is inherent in man. We call them "Useful Idiots" for reasons outlined below.)

It isn't wholly repugnant because Talarico and those like him just want the money. That is base and reprehensible, but for a completely different reason. That is an unsavory aspect of human nature, but it is wise to always keep that in mind when dealing with anyone, politically or otherwise.

It is more disgusting and repellent because he feels confident and empowered enough to simply lie outright. Everyone lies to one degree or another, it is part of our nature. But when it is done without reluctance, without a humane rationalization, and without regret to simply gain control over other human beings then it becomes something else.

Excellent post. Thank you. Either he is lying outright, (for power and adoration of the fools) or he believes the lie. He and Jazzy each received over a million votes in the dem primary. Neither Paxton nor Cornyn received that many votes in the R primary. Sane voters need to vote! Don't let lunatic commies elect a lunatic commie to "dismantle capitalism." I think it's a loss for the writer(s), the New York Post in this case, to use the terms made up by the left, "gender surgery" in this case, instead of the accurate "genital mutilation surgery".

Same goes for using "Black" to describe someone's skin color instead of "black" in an attempt to elevate black people above white people.
