What’s that you say? Bernie has at least three multi-million dollar properties? Sounds like a landscaping and household up-keeping headache to me. Lots of staff. Cooks, cleaners, maids, grounds-people, plumbers, etc.
How does one pay the staff of three mansions to be ready at a moment’s notice when the Master comes home?
Hint: His official annual salary is about $170k. Not bad for an avowed communist who’s never held a job in his miserable life since he was born in 1941.

Funny thing is, MOST oligarchs are big government Democrats.
Government is a huge gravy train for them (subsidies, purchases, etc). In fact, some of them were basically catapulted to where they are today by government, i.e. Google.
And, why does Sanders mention Musk and X when in reality about 80% of the media environment is pro Democrat and liberal ideologically? Wouldn’t it make far more sense to mention where the majority of lobbying and money is tied up? Where the majority of the MSM, social media, and Hollywood is oriented?
Sanders is a fraud.
That man made his entire existence by being the classic “demagogue.”
Webster’s should have his name and picture next to the definition of demagogue.
There are oligarchs.
They do have a disproportionate influence on government.
They get their way most of the time, even if the majority opinion (will of the people) stands in disagreement.
Our government runs on money, and the oligarchs have a lot of money. They can basically buy the politician through lobbying, political party and campaign contributions, foundation donations and buying art (make the politician rich), hiring family members or paying them huge consultant fees, or making sure a family member makes business deals that are off the chart spectacular. Often, these same oligarchs have a high level of influence on the MSM, or they outright own some of it. Finally, they can bite in the courts, bringing the legal system to bear on an issue, they have the money.
The problem is, there is no easy fix to this and it is a consequence of a democratic system which is still far better than a single party system. You have the same problem in all Western nations.

There is a low interest and knowledge in current events.

He’s pretending to be defending the families. After 70+ years of Democrats targeting the family unit for destruction, he still thinks that is effective campaign strategy. One has to be either wholly brainwashed or absolutely ignorant of the world around them, to buy into the idea that Democrats aren’t the ones trying to destroy humanity. Their motto may as well be “mors vincit omnia,” because that, eternal death, is their goal for 90% of the world’s populace.
