If any country in the world today should be described as our “Greatest Ally”, I would nominate Japan.
The Anglosphere countries are borderline adversaries at this point, the EU is a cesspool of globalism and Islamism, Israel is Israel, the pro-USA Latin American regimes are nice, but they are just our little brothers. South Korea has a tendency to be wishy-washy a little too often lately.
Japan, especially under a right-leaning government, is our most loyal and dependable ally that is an economic and military peer.
She is a Japan First kind of leader. She will negotiate hard with us in her country’s best interest and that is what she is supposed to do. She is also an ally we can count on.
