The maximalists wanted regime change, the minimalists wanted nothing, and the doubters see only waffling. Carafano’s answer: the victor gets to define victory — and everywhere you look, the region is moving Trump’s way.
Iran War Turns into Trump Middle East Triumph: We are about to see the biggest reshaping of the Middle East since Moses led the Jews out of Egypt.
Like the pharaoh, who missed every warning sign up to the parting of the Red Sea, the critics and questioners of Trump’s tug-of-war with what’s left of the Iran regime seem obtuse to the prophetic truth that the region will never be the same again—in a good way.

Trump claimed on March 24 that the war was already over and that Iran would go through a regime change. "We've won this war. This war has been won,"
President Trump told Axios on March 11 that the war with Iran will end "soon" because there is "practically nothing left to target." He said the war will end "any time I want it to end."
Again, on March 11 Trump told a crowd: "You never like to say too early you won. We won. In the first hour it was over."
Trump said on March 9 that the Iran war will be over "very soon" and that Iran is "all gone. We could call it a tremendous success right now."
Excellent question and post.
Yep.
This is serious hallucinogenic intake ..

I am sure many would love to believe this...But not based in fact...
The Nobel Peace Prize Committee is completely discredited for giving the prize to Barry Obama for doing — nothing.
Actually, the mullahs are already gone, or at least out of power. The IRGC overthrew them months ago. Then the IRGC made a mockery of the official “government”. The president, prime minister, whomever, change their minds whenever the IRGC dictators tells them to, sometimes inside of a few hours.
Who runs the IRGC? They don’t even know.
The Iranian officials probably need to hear from the US democRATS before they can comment.
Hopefully Iran will tap out soon or this could be the biggest campaign issue during the midterms in the fall.
When Iran taps out of the fight.
“Terrific analysis piece, and beautifully written.”
Well done.
Mossad chief Roman Gofman dismissed several senior officials following the failure of a major operational plan aimed at overthrowing the Iranian government. The high-profile departures include:
<><>The Deputy Director: Removed amid dissatisfaction with the handling of Iran-related operations.
<><>Head of the Intelligence Directorate: Removed from the position.
<><>Head of the Iran Division: Removed from the position.
According to Israeli broadcaster Channel 12, the failed Mossad scheme involved a strategy to mobilize ethnic minority groups within Iran to fuel mass protests, backed by massive US financed Israeli military airstrikes.
Intelligence sources indicated the Mossad strategy never translated into actionable steps on the ground and failed to achieve the desired regime change.
These dismissals reflect a broader restructuring of the agency’s command structure and Mossad priorities concerning Iran following Gofman’s appointment as director.

The United States taxpayer heavily financed, supplied, and directly participated in sorties and military campaigns against Iran.
Financial & Material Support included “Direct Aid” as reported by Independent analyses—— organizations like the “Costs of War Project at Brown University”——— outlined that Israel’s military operations across the Middle East rely on massive, ongoing US taxpayer financial and material backing.
The US State Department repeatedly approved US tax financed multi-billion-dollar emergency weapons sales to Israel......bypassing congressional review....... to supply advanced precision-guided US tax-paid munitions, Apache helicopters, and bomb casings used by Israel in the strikes.
US resources provided extensive logistical and operational coordination for Israeli strikes in Iranian territory.
Tax financed US Military Assets were directly deployed, including B-2 stealth bombers dropping bunker-busting bombs on underground missile sites, shifting the conflict into a broader regional war.

Sad…I use to love reading your posts.
Iran’s regime did not collapse——which was Israel’s most desired goal. Following Israeli airstrikes in late February 2026 Supreme Leader Ali Khamenei was killed and Iranian military sites damaged.
A ceasefire framework halted large-scale fighting, ergo opinions on the outcome are mixed.
There were Strategic vs. Tactical Outcomes:
<><>Iran says it prevented the objective of unconditional surrender and regime change, keeping the existing government intact despite leadership decapitation.-—Brookings
<><>Tehran says it utilized regional allies and disruptions in the Strait of Hormuz to impose economic and strategic costs on adversaries. ——— Brookings
The conflict resulted in severe Iranian losses, including heavy civilian casualties, internal displacement, and substantial destruction of military and nuclear infrastructure. ——Reddit·r/geopolitics
On Current Consensus and Status platforms like r/geopolitics, opinions differ on the conflict’s outcome.
Some analysts view Iran’s survival as a form of political resilience, while others emphasize that severe infrastructural and military degradation leaves Tehran in a weakened long-term position. Durable settlements regarding nuclear programs and regional security remain unresolved.

Only by your warped logic.
How much do DSA trolls get paid?
One thing we can also be sure of is that Donald Trump will be bragging and boasting about something that is never quite true.
Iran’s regime did not collapse-——which was Israel’s most desired goal—— but the Israeli sub rosa plan did include Netanyahu getting his hands on US defense trillions.
Israel intensely lobbied obedient House members to bring bomb-happy Israel into US defense industries
Critics say it puts Israel in charge of tax-paid US weapons systems designed to protect US families.

The proposal, tucked into the $1.15 trillion defense policy bill passed in the House last week, has the full support of Netanyahu (naturally), and the American Israel Public Affairs Committee, a powerful lobbying group.....and obedient lobbied lawmakers.
But it has come under criticism and a concerted bid to stop it in the Senate.
“It compromises our sovereignty and hurts our national security by limiting our options,” said Sen. Chris Van Hollen (D-Maryland) in an interview.
The debate over the bill coincided with Netanyahu’s visits to Washington, where he inveigled Trump into war in Iran.....a war which is increasingly unpopular among the US tax-paying public.
No not really… many have noticed Liz.
You are jumping the shark Liz!
You are treading on “Tokyo Rose” territory. Remember our Troops who are at risk while you vomit your agit-propaganda.
