According to the latest data from the West Health–Gallup Affordability Index, only 49% of U.S. adults are able to afford quality care and have been able to pay for healthcare visits and prescriptions in recent months, marking a five-year low in healthcare affordability. The number of people able to afford quality healthcare has been on a steady decline since 2022, when affordability was the highest. In 2025, 2.8 million more Americans reported inability to afford healthcare.
“Healthcare affordability is moving in the wrong direction,” West Health Institute chief medical officer, Zia Agha, MD, told Healio. “Notably, financial barriers are increasing among people with chronic illness, who need ongoing care to remain healthy. When people delay treatment, skip medications or avoid preventive care because of its cost, health outcomes worsen and costs grow even more.”

It’s not just about being affordable. Most of the time you go to a doctor’s office or hospital the place is staffed with ghetto cows and Indians. They either hate your guts or dont speak enough English. Thanks, Obama.
Some of us, not even on Obamacare, can afford quality healthcare, but it doesn’t exist. Sadly.
What is quality healthcare? We haven’t had quality healthcare in decades, if ever.

Yep, medicine is very primitive. If there is something wrong in a part of your body. they often just cut it off instead of curing it. For many diseases, the treatment lets you live but you have a miserable life.
The Affordable Care Act (AKA Obamacare) was a scam from day one. It was supposed to crash the system and cause chaos in healthcare. Then throw in 20-30 million illegals onto the rolls and the system collapses even sooner.................
.
I've noticed this too in about the last decade or so. The caliber of staff is just awful.
I used to love getting my dental cleaning and checkup. The last few times this black ghetto female was my hygienist. She hurt me like no white person in her position every has. She demanded that I turn my head in very uncomfortable positions to accommodate her comfort in the cleaning, instead of accommodating me like every other hygienist has done. Very rough, brusque, uncaring and and unattentive. I changed dentists because of her.
The same with my urologist office. I can barely understand the people who work for him.
thats how you know it was never suppose to be affordable.
Everything they attach a name to is the exact opposite of what the name is...............
War is Peace.
Freedom is Slavery.
Ignorance is Strength.
Priceless is Affordable................
Or, they just prescribe a pill.
The only possible result of Obamacare, aka “The Affordable Care Act”, as we all said at the time. Far fewer people are able to afford quality healthcare than were before. 80%+ of Americans were happy with their healthcare plans prior to Obamacare. What is that percentage now?
We were retorted with “Why don’t you want the poor and the sick to be able to get healthcare?” in response at the time.
I’m so disillusioned.
So... the ACA was a complete failure and should be immediately repealed?
Sounds good to me.
The world's best healthcare is the free market with DIRECT relationship between doctor and patient. No useless & costly middleman.
Was my pre-Obamacare healthcare plan perfect? No. However, I had the coverage I needed to cover pretty much any emergency type situation and like a once a year check up. Routine doctor is at sound like a 10 or $15 co-pay. It was also affordable. On the bright side, my co-pays lower, but the cost is balloon massively.
“DIRECT relationship between doctor and patient. No useless & costly middleman.”
Medical care is more than doctors.
About six months ago ABC News happily reported that a family was able to get their insurance company to pay for an $800,000/year drug for their son.
Preexisting condition is ‘insurer speak’ for taking an expensive drug indefinitely or having an intractable mental problem requiring repeated inpatient treatment.

Congress under Amendment XVI can take your income and have Leroy throw it into the back of a Waste Management truck, or give it to his sister, or her doctor.
