The investment, in partnership with Broadcom, is set to produce 15 billion chips, creating hundreds of U.S. jobs. Broadcom's facility in Fort Collins, Colorado, is expanding its capabilities to produce the chips.
"This is another major win for America and another sign that the Trump administration’s economic agenda is delivering results," a Trump administration official told Fox News Digital. "Apple has made investing in the United States a clear priority, and we hope other companies will follow its lead. We commend Apple for recognizing this opportunity and taking meaningful steps to strengthen America’s chip supply chain."
Apple CEO Tim Cook touted its partnership with Broadcom and both companies' "commitment to American manufacturing and innovation."
"The cutting-edge components built in Fort Collins are essential to delivering the incredible performance and connectivity our customers expect, and we’re proud to deepen our investments in U.S.-based suppliers that share our commitment to excellence and innovation," Cook said in a statement. "We’re grateful to the President and his administration for supporting important projects like this."
"Broadcom is proud to continue to work with Apple after decades of success together, and we share a strong commitment to American innovation," Broadcom President and CEO Hock Tan stated. "With Apple’s newest commitment, we’re pleased to expand our manufacturing footprint in Fort Collins, where we create groundbreaking technology that connects people around the world."
Apple announced a whopping $600 billion investment in a four-year period since the beginning of the second Trump administration, including the manufacturing of AI servers at a facility in Houston.

Apple is so smart to completely blow off the massive multi-billion-$ AI spending spree that is crushing everyone from OpenAI to Oracle, and is focused on chips.
Don’t get all Randy’ed up, we have basically imported their foreign workforce here so it’s just a geography change.
No reason not to. IC fabs do not require low-cost labor and putting them offshore increases risk to capex and supply chain.
And the majority if not all should be......Made In America.
“chips” are what AI runs on, and Apple is building massive AI server centers in several places, to the tune of $600 billion, so very likely these chips are for that purpose:
“Apple is actively producing advanced AI servers in Houston, Texas, to power Apple Intelligence and Private Cloud Compute. These U.S.-made servers are then installed across Apple’s domestic data center hubs, with major capacity expansions currently underway in: Maiden, North Carolina, Waukee, Iowa,Prineville, Oregon, Mesa, ArizonaReno, Nevada”
You forgot to mention how badly they treat their employees
I didn’t forget, because I didn’t know. I am not surprised. It is like a caticature of free enterprise.
‘Bout time that slimey pack of arseholes bring back US jobs and quit selling their AppleCrap by using foreign slave labor.
Hate to tell you, but Apple is the one single company that’s tried to make computers in the US with US made parts as much as is possible. And they have for years.
The only reason they aren’t able to build all the parts here is because they’re not allowed to or they can’t because the support infrastructure isn’t here.
If you buy *any* other computer, you support China more than you have to.
Maybe we can do what has been done to us over and over - have them train their replacements, only this time it will be Americans doing the replacing.
“the massive multi-billion-$ AI spending spree that is crushing everyone from OpenAI to Oracle,”
Wonder how many square miles of semiconductor are produced each month. Wonder how much more of our electricity is being gobbled by the machines that contain the semiconductors each month. Wonder who’s paying for the output of these machines, collectively called AI, and what they’re getting for their money.
Great idea.
Broadcom is thriving as a key AI infrastructure player with accelerating revenue, massive backlog visibility, and fresh tailwinds from the Apple deal. It’s one of the stronger large-cap semiconductor stories right now, though it carries a premium valuation reflecting that growth.

Been saying, when the smoke clears, Apple will be the winner, because they will be the ones to figure out how to embed powerful AI into the hardware and into iPhones, without the need for so many data centers. Then they can simply buy out the best models to use.
I am sure the stock is doing fine . . . THIS QUARTER.
The company is chasing short term profits, but is sacrificing the long-term dominance of VMware. If you act like you hate your customers, and Broadcom does, the customers will look for a way to flee at the first opportunity, and they will not come back.
Computer Associates did the same thing, and that’s why we do not hear about once major players like Platinum and ARCserve any more.
I told my son - who has a lot more money that I do after taking my investment advice for years - to buy more Apple after the recent dump (to $277) and AAPL is already up huge since then, defying the slumping Nasdaq. Worst mistake Warren Buffet ever made was selling Apple (which he admits).
My one share of Apple I got as a long ago anniversary present has split over the years.
Last year I finally got around to getting into the account. It was still in my wife’s name and she forgot about it.
Not big bucks but something.
We have a lot of chip manufacturing plants being built. That’s good. Now to see us build more rare earth processing plants.....
