WASHINGTON, May 16 (Reuters) - U.S. President Donald Trump threatened a primary challenge on Saturday for hardline conservative Representative Lauren Boebert, until now a staunch Trump ally, after she campaigned for maverick Representative Thomas Massie in his Kentucky district.
"Boebert is campaigning for the Worst 'Republican' Congressman in the History of our Country, Thomas Massie, of the Great Commonwealth of Kentucky, and anybody who can be that dumb deserves a good Primary fight!" Trump wrote on Truth Social.
Boebert, a Colorado congresswoman, responded with a post on X: "Yes, I saw the President’s post. No, I’m not mad or offended. I knew the risks when I agreed to stand by my friend Thomas Massie. I was, and will be, America First, America Always, and MAGA."

Trump’s ego leaves no room for pragmatism.
Massie is a heck of a Congressman, and this would be a better country with 435 of him in Congress. Then Trump endorses people like Lindsey Graham. Just stop.
Prediction, Lauren Boebert follows in the footsteps of MTG, Candace Owens, Tucker Carlson, etc, and finds a new revenue stream that arises from going against DJT. Massie has the same support. I have no evidence, but this is a gut feeling. Time will tell if I’m wrong or I’m right.
Massie fails us every time something important comes up.
Well when Boebert and Massie campaign and says they are going to do something and when they get elected they do the opposite the people do have the legal ability and right to recall them. I know it is rarely done, if it has been done at all, but it is the duty of the people to get rid of politicians that don’t do what you elected them to do.

Trump is not the same man who came down the Trump Tower escalator in 2015. He's 80 years old now.
He would have been the old Trump in his second term had 2020 not been stolen from him.
Graham doesn’t have anything on Trump. You think Graham found something didn’t use it in the past, didn’t trade to the Ratters for something. Unfortunately what Graham has is clout in the Senate. Thanks to the convoluted incumbent protection jungle primary South Carolina has baked into its election system its virtually impossible to find a real effective MAGA challenger. Trump has to work with what’s there - Graham!
