John Fetterman: I haven’t changed. Here’s what has.

John Fetterman, a Democrat, is a U.S. senator from Pennsylvania.
Many might not know, but I won my first race by a single vote to be mayor of Braddock, a small steel town — one of the poorest in the commonwealth of Pennsylvania — where
90 percent of the population has left. It was a forgotten community.
I wasn’t interested in playing political games. I wanted to help deliver change. It wasn’t about being a Democrat or Republican, but about making sure places such as Braddock received the benefits, focus and investments they deserved for their contributions to this great country.
As a U.S. senator, I still believe in that principle. It doesn’t matter if my colleague is in my party or across the aisle. My focus remains on working together to find wins and deliver for my constituents. And though I was elected as a Democrat, I’m proud to serve all Pennsylvanians.
It has become increasingly lonely to serve in that way, but I firmly believe it’s what is needed.
My party cannot simply be the opposite of whatever President Donald Trump says. The president could come out for ice cream and lazy Sundays, and my party would suddenly hate them. Such pointless pile-ons and attacks are unproductive. The American people want us to work together to find solutions on issues they and our country face.

He should consider wearing a tie.
To: rightwingcrazy
He should consider wearing a tie. Why, so the DEMs can have him commit "suicide" with it?

Like Tulsi, if he can be freed up and released from the Party, who knows what he’ll really think. As long as he’s a “D”, he’s compromised.

I’m still going with the Fetterman had a brain transplant theory.
Igore must have picked the brain labeled Pat Riot.

I had my doubts about Fetterman at first. But now I’m convinced he’s the real deal, a genuine classical liberal.
So, yeah. You’re right. Such folks are not welcome in today’s radical Democrat party. Fettterman is up for re-election in 2028. I expect big push by the D’s to oust him in the primary.
To: Leaning Right
Maybe Tulsi can work on him.

He’ll have to get in line, I already put in a bid to be worked on by Tulsi.

He’s still a pretty strong liberal, but I would trust him more than I would most RINOs. Damned by faint praise, as it were.

But now I’m convinced he’s the real deal, a genuine classical liberal. No. I’m a “classical liberal” I.e. a modern day conservative. Fedderman is a 1950s Democrat I.e. back in the day when they actually beloved the government could make a positive difference in peoples lives. The only thing Democrats care about now is stealing as much taxpayer money as possible.
