Former FBI Director James Comey has surrendered himself following the grand indictment against him on charges related to a 2025 social media post in which he allegedly threatened the life of President Donald Trump.
Per CNN, Comey turned himself in to federal authorities at an Alexandria, Virginia courthouse. The grand jury indictment revealed on Tuesday charges Comey with threatening to kill Trump and transmitting the threat in interstate and foreign commerce.
Comey said in a video following the indictment on Tuesday, "well, they’re back. This time about a picture of seashells on a North Carolina beach a year ago. And this won’t be the end of it. But nothing has changed with me, I’m still innocent, I’m still not afraid, and I still believe in the independent federal judiciary, so let’s go."

He knew what he was doing. He didn't "find" those shells. He arranged them himself.
I’m no lawyer, but this seems like a pretty thin case (though worth it just for the indictment and mugshot).
He needed to be woken at 3 AM and marched out in his undies to all sorts of media cameras.
May not be able to ‘prove’ he arranged them either. Which is sad since he’s such a sanctimonious POS.
The only question is whether this will be laughed out of court or simply dismissed without any laughter. What are we even doing?
There is some reasoning behind this. It’s not just seashells on the beach.
Maybe the prosecution will explain the genesis of “86” to the jury, i.e., “8 miles out, and 6 feet under”.
I hate being this cynical but l think it is possible that Blanche knows this case is going nowhere and it is just him trying to stay AG. Blanche was a rat just a few years ago and l do not want him to be the AG period.
If they want to just make stuff up in front of a judge, then sure, maybe they will.

I have a feeling there is other evidence. For a grand jury in Virginia to indict him, there may be something we aren’t yet privy to. An online threat or admission of what those numbers referred to? I don’t know. At the very least his personal wealth will be decimated by lawyers...
I agree but ... the arrest warrant was brought by a duly convened Grand Jury.

And charges him for the stupid seashell thing? His lawyer will easily swat that away like a gnat.

How does anyone prove he did it.
And goofballs are celebrating like it means anything. This goes nowhere and anyone with any sense knows it.
But nobody is talking about food and fuel prices, Epstein, Trump being run from Tel Aviv, etc.
We all know he didn’t find those shells. But proving it takes more than we just “know” he did it.
Will they try to put him in solitary without any visitors or medical care?
