Tennessee Governor Bill Lee has signed a resolution designating June, which has been nationally recognized as Pride Month since 1999, as 'Nuclear Family Month' in the state. The amendment defines a nuclear family as consisting of one husband, one wife, and any biological, adopted, or fostered children, stating that this is 'God's design for familial structure.' LGBTQ+ advocates have criticized the move as exclusionary, arguing that the strongest families are grounded in love, not specific structures.
Why it matters This decision by the Tennessee governor is seen as a direct challenge to the long-standing recognition of Pride Month, which celebrates the LGBTQ+ community. It reflects a growing political divide over issues of family structure and LGBTQ+ rights, with some conservative lawmakers seeking to enshrine a narrow definition of the 'traditional' family unit.

Other red states should follow the excellent example asap.
Would that include a family where the man is on wife number three?
sure, that’s nuclear fission
I can dig it.
Tennessee ❤️
Some fams get to use nukes to fix society?
I’ll bet you’re real fun at parties.
Some progress and you have to find the bad side of it.
An initial goal of the BLM grifters was to eliminate the nuclear family. Commies, all of ‘em.
Terrific!!! Thanks for posting. Backbone of civilization BUMP!
Ah man, they’re gonna need more safe spaces!
“....a narrow definition of the ‘traditional’ family unit.”
How about extended family month?
“Would that include a family where the man is on wife number three?”
I think you are misdirected,
More like Wife is on Husband #5.
That is how many husbands my mother had!
Studies show that about 70-75% of divorces
are filed by women.
I’m very sure there are good reasons
Violence, infidelity, lack of monetary support.
Something always attributed to men.
Has anyone ever considered what
women do to their husbands?
Just because you have a child doesn’t
make you a saint!
More like a person with God like powers
over someone that cannot defend
or protect themselves.
That is why we have Moms and Dads.
Balance. Eliminate one of those
two and it may very well not
work out very well for the innocent
child.
Just in case Y’all think I’m bitter,
Been married to the same wonderful
(mostly) wife for almost 49 years.
Seems reasonable 😳 fxck pride month.
It’s FAMILY month. God created families. Reprobates tried to redefine family to conform to their delusions. I do appreciate what the Tennessee gov is doing.
EVERY month is ‘Nuclear’ (Normal) Family Month. Those who won’t hear God try to co-opt Pride when they’re referring to their shame and try to pervert the law and courts to make us play along.
As a cynical fellow Tennessean I suspect this has more to do with Bill Lee’s political ambitions than deep convictions. Our state has a long history of those in high offices trading positions around between them. Now that Sen. Marsh Blackburn has intentions toward becoming governor I expect Lee’s checking out housing around D.C..
New tagline:
But Tennessee should do what Kentucky did a whule ago.
Kentucky's divorce rate dropped by approximately 25% between 2016 and 2023. This significant decline followed a 2018 state law, the first in the nation to make 50/50 shared parenting the default for custody, reducing high-conflict legal battles.
Lol! Man on wife #3. Perhaps spinning off many kids in the process. Still better than guys banging guys, nothing to have pride about that!
