A Secret Service agent accidentally shot himself while accompanying former First Lady Jill Biden through Philadelphia International Airport Friday morning, according to reports.
KYW Newsradio reported that the agent shot himself in the leg. There was no word on the agent’s condition or the circumstances surrounding the shooting.
“We are gathering the facts and will have a statement shortly,” a Secret Service spokesperson told the New York Post.
The radio station reported that there was a “heavy police presence” at the American Airlines ticket counter at the airport.
Also, the trunk and front passenger door of a black Chevy Suburban at the curb were left open, and the vehicle was encircled by yellow police tape.
KYW reported that a medic unit was seen leaving the scene, followed by a Philadelphia police car.
Biden, the wife of former President Joe Biden, was in Harrisburg on Wednesday with Pennsylvania First Lady Lori Shapiro and former state first ladies Michele Ridge and Frances Wolf to celebrate Women’s History Month, reported WGAL-TV.

At least Jill is a doctor so she could provide first aid for the USSS agent.
Sounds like President Trump stuck jill the SS agents they gave him with during the campaign. Lol!
Probably desperate to get off of the detail.
Did Plaxico Burress join the Secret Service after retiring from the NFL? 😆
Yeah....”doctor” 👌
Doctor of education she is.....she’s about as qualified to treat a gunshot wound as that little weasel rand paul....either of them would no doubt pass out at the sight of a little blood.....ESPECIALLY him.
Itchy Trigger Finger strikes!
“A wise man once said that no one should call himself ‘Dr.’ unless he has delivered a child,” wrote Epstein, who began the piece by addressing Biden as “Madame First Lady — Mrs. Biden — Jill — kiddo.” “Think about it, Dr. Jill, and forthwith drop the doc.”
That’s why s way to get removed from her detail!
Dr
If you are going to handle your pistol frequently and coarsely then you should have one with a safety.
On the other hand, an SS agent should be always on the go setting where a fraction of a second counts.
She was heard asking, "does anyone have a band-aid'?

Some say she hasn’t completed the doctorate.
Poor guy.
Injuries aside (hopefully not serious), screwing up like that is like a stinky poop smelling fart that follows you around, forever.
Everywhere that guy goes...
If he’s smart, he may as well embrace it, and cut off the rumors and chatter behind his back as he moves around in his career. Start out by making a joke about yourself and throwing it out there. “Yeah, I’m that guy that shot himself,” but making light of it and framing it in a more positive way.
That ain’t going away, ever. Hiding isn’t going to work. So if you have a set of balls, embrace it. Make fun of yourself when you get to a new duty assignment. If you use it to your advantage it’ll do far more good than having people whispering behind your back.
Accidents, even mistakes under pressure, happen. Unless he was doing something really stupid, it was most likely a series of unfortunate events that led to an AD, and those things can happen. The dude shot himself (and will have to live with the public humiliation), so he’s paid the price as far as I’m concerned. Unless it was unethical, unprofessional, irrational behavior that put other peoples lives at risk, I wouldn’t take any further action.
Hes and eye doctor dude
I don’t blame the agent.
