Carney inches closer to majority, as fourth MP defects to Liberals

Prime Minister Mark Carney's Liberals have inched closer to a majority in the Canadian parliament as a fourth MP defected to join the party.

Lori Idlout, a member of the left-leaning New Democrats (NDP), joined Carney after "much personal reflection", the Liberals said in a statement.

"At this turning point in our history, I am ready to work with (Carney) to build a strong future for Nunavut and for all of Canada," Idlout said.

Floor crossings are allowed in Canada's Westminster parliamentary system, and have occurred more than 300 times since confederation in 1867. Carney, leading a minority government, is nearing a majority - largely helped by three recent defections from Conservative MPs.

Thank you very much and God bless you.

The closer Sideshow Carney gets The Party to a majority, the more that most Canadians living north and west of Montréal/Ottawa/Toronto fully /grok/ that they have absolutely NO voice in Ottawa, just so long as The Party remains firmly in charge.

Carney is a technocrat and banker. How did he become Prime Minister? It’s a joke (on them). He’s a total globalist puppet

Notice we haven’t heard a single word about returning all the illegals to Canuckistan that got here via our northern border? Many of the stampeders that did not come from South America just walked right in from the awful places in Africa, island countries etc.

Rumour has it that Carney will grant clemency to the NDP woman from the territories, whose son or nephew is a sexual predator in exchange for her floor crossing.

Alberta and Saskatchewan are well along in the process of leaving the Canadian Federation. Manitoba, Yukon and BC are said to have the leaving effort under discussion.

Alberta has delegations in Washington DC actively discussing with administration officials the relationship with the USA.

Carney is in the actual process of losing his major revenue sources. Ontario is going to find that it is broke and all the Carney falderal is meaningless Albe

I wonder what Quebec would do. The last time they tried was in 1995 and the referendum to leave failed only narrowly. On the other hand, Quebec’ers (sp?) love the tax money and benefits they get from Ottawa.

I’m not overly familiar with the Maritime provinces - but I can’t picture any of them leaving Canada. They too get the benefits from Ottawa.

Carney is really a bad man, horrible for the people of Canada. Its all explained how this has happened here in the video below.

Canadians have been hoodwinked by Canadian Media and so they are doomed to socialist impoverishment by having a closed economy , without free trade and high tariffs to prevent competition in the market while the protected elite socialist/Marxist class enriches itself. Canada Environmental laws are used to keep fossil fuel and mineral resource from being developed.

Alberta and Saskatchewan plan to leave Canada.

I believe the acivities in Alberta have reawakened the efforts in Quebec. However, the efforts in Quebec are not as strong nor effective as in Alberta

Quebec are ruled by Socialists similar to the ones in Ontario.

Why would they want to leave Canada?

“After much personal reflection“

It used to be the Liberals were the far left and the NDP were the insane left. Now there really is no difference. Canada is just screwed.
