One of the most important oil facilities on the planet — Saudi Arabia’s Ras Tanura refinery — has reportedly been hit.
Fires. Shutdowns. Export disruption.
This isn’t just another strike.
This is an attack on the world’s energy lifeline.
Ras Tanura is the artery through which vast amounts of global oil flows to Europe and Asia.
If that artery is threatened, the economic consequences ripple across the entire planet — fuel prices, markets, supply chains, everything.
The conflict has now crossed a dangerous threshold.
This is no longer regional escalation.
This is global economic warfare.

I'm very broken hearted that Quebec won't be able to buy any more Saudi discounted oil. At least for a while. Couldn't happen to a nicer province.

Yes, maybe. However, Quebec will not be getting that favoured price they were getting from the Sauds. It will cost them a few billion.

What will the Saudis do about it?
The Saudis buy a lot of Western military weapons, and either those weapons systems don’t work because they aren’t maintained properly, or the Saudis can operate them competently. The Saudis have a habit of shooting down friendly aircraft.

Here's an "Ask Grok" response from X about this matter:
Yes, Reuters/Bloomberg/Saudi defense confirm: two Iranian drones intercepted at Ras Tanura, debris caused limited fire now contained, no injuries, refinery shut precautionarily. Situation under control, no supply impact reported. GCC states broadly oppose IRGC influence; Hezbollah is in Lebanon, not Gul

I just copied and pasted the headline. I didn’t do the emphasis myself.

Saudi Arabia said that if Iran struck anything in their territory that they would retaliate. Let's see if they are as good as their word.
But wow, this strike is gonna disrupt everything worldwide. I wonder if my daughter will be making that trip to Florida now.
