Hundreds of bags of human remains were recently found in makeshift graves in the Mexican city at the heart of the startling wave of violence over the killing of a cartel boss — just months before key World Cup games are scheduled to be held there.

Unfortunately, the conquistadors didn’t kill enough diabolical priests and murderous nobles when they took over.

Since last year, more than 20 grave sites have been found scattered around Guadalajara, the capital of Jalisco state and home to the notorious Jalisco New Generation Cartel, which was led by Nemesio “El Mencho” Oseguera Cervantes before he was killed by Mexican authorities Sunday,Why on earth would FIFA agree to games there?
I guess on the bright side, those games will be more affordable than the others.

The wife and I spent 10 days in Guadalajara around New Year’s. We had a great time- shopping , bullfights, churches, tequila, and food.

50 years ago...Stayed on the side of a mountain...buzzards circled if you laid out in the sun....Tarantuala in one of the ladies bed...Iguanas walking around...deathly ill on the food...didn't like soldiers in jeeps with rifles on the beaches...earthquake...guys lied and said the were doing some blasting...
Memorable?? Just can't forget...

I broke the FR rule, and actually read the whole article...
They never explicitly say whether the remains found are are recent or ancient. they hint that they are due to cartel violence, but they don’t say it outright.
Like post #7 above alludes: It could very well be mass graves from ancient events there.
I’m not saying it is so, but until I hear a report from the local Medical Examiner, or an investigating anthropologist, I’m not going to get too excited about it.

The bigger mistake they made was bringing the Spanish Inquisition to the new world-those rogue priests killed everybody from every ethnic group-even the ones who paid bribes. The natives mostly fought fratricidal wars and sacrificed their own. Spaniards were my ancestors-maybe a few natives. Neither bunch were admirable...

Same here-Mexico has had a hardcore mafia for at least as long as Sicily/Italy-maybe longer. let’s hear from an archaeologist and a medical examiner or two before making a judgement...

Catholic boarding school students from Canada???
I mean, they never found mass graves up there and pope francis apologized, so...guilty!...so maybe....they shipped them into mexico!!
To: LegendHasIt
I wasn't saying through the posted picture that the bodies were ancient. I was saying the remains in
sacks (strongly indicating modern) are Mexican cartels keeping the old bloodthirsty traditions going in this day and age - but strictly to instill mass terror rather than appease supernatural entities.
Good work reading it through and thinking. You'd make a terrible Democrat.
