“When Democrats attempted to advance sweeping election reform legislation in 2021, Republicans were unanimous in opposition because it would have federalized elections, something we have long opposed,” Murkowski said in a statement. “Now, I’m seeing proposals such as the SAVE Act and MEGA that would effectively do just that. Once again, I do not support these efforts.”The SAVE Act is not equal to the proposed Democrat reforms.
Murky is very dishonest.

She’s got her talking point. She’s had the whisper in the ear.

Do you suppose she is just reflexively anti-Trump due to some person political beliefs or is she compromised and dancing to unnamed puppet strings with these antics? I’d really like to hear discussion on who is and how many are compromised in our legislature today. For example, is McConnel just stubbornly staying until he dies or is he being threatened with cartel-style treatment if he does not do exactly as he is doing? Remember his bruises and Harry Reid’s bruises and loss of an eye?

I saw a podcast recently that said in order to vote in the legislature each member of congress has to use a congressional ID as validation. Any member of congress that is against voter ID should refuse to provide their ID during the vote.

Section 4 Congress
Clause 1 Elections Clause
The Times, Places and Manner of holding Elections for Senators and Representatives, shall be prescribed in each State by the Legislature thereof; but the Congress may at any time by Law make or alter such Regulations, except as to the Places of chusing Senators.

Murkowski is leaning heavily on the idea that this is a State issue. But the Constitution explicitly says Congress can make changes.
Also the Constitution says that the states have a basic say in the election of Representatives and Senators (state level representation). But it does not mention federal elections for President. So states have no explicit monopoly on that at all.
