Greenland said on Tuesday that it had asked, along with Denmark, for a speedy meeting with US Secretary of State Marco Rubio after US President Donald Trump renewed claims on the Arctic island.
"The objective of the meeting is to discuss the significant statements made by the United States about Greenland," a Danish autonomous territory, Foreign Minister Vivian Motzfeldt wrote in a Facebook post.
"It has so far not been possible for US Secretary of State Marco Rubio to meet with the Greenlandic government, despite the fact that the Greenlandic and Danish governments have requested a meeting at the ministerial level throughout 2025," she added.

The only topic of discussion between Rubio and the Danes should be how much (how little) compensation they are willing to accept for Greenland. GL is not even up for debate anymore. It will be acquired one way or another.
and the new flag should use a white T as the 51st. to honor Trump and still keep the 50 original stars. And think about Caribou (Reindeer) porterhouse steak is making me hungary.
It would be swell if this administration paid as much attention to winning on the domestic front as they do beating up on places like Greenland. We are going to lose the Mid-Terms because we are doing stuff that most voters don’t really give a crap about and they won’t turn out to push for more of it.
That includes Greenland , drug runners and the price of gas. Try solving overwhelming illegal populations, the stunning waste of tax dollars in fraud and no effective legal action against most transgressors -all inside our borders. Do more, much more of that.
Getting control of the border is probably the most appreciated thing they have done so far. Starting to fix the military ranks high with me but I don’t see that touted much even within our base because it is still a bloated organization swallowing money and being used as a world cop
If or when the issue of Greenland comes up, it will be up to the people of Greenland, period, full stop.
50,000 Greenlanders are not going to stop anything.
For some it IS possible to concentrate on several things at once. Isn’t that amazing?
