Foreign Secretary Yvette Cooper has reminded her US counterpart Marco Rubio of his obligations under international law, she told MPs, following US military action in Venezuela.

US President Donald Trump's launched an operation resulting in the capture of President Nicolás Maduro this weekend, leading to accusations the US had flouted international law.

Cooper's statement to the House of Commons went further than Prime Minister Sir Keir Starmer, who has so far avoided condemning Trump's decision and focused instead on the brutality of Maduro's dictatorship.

The ignorant twit seems to have forgotten what happned during the late unpleasantness betweeen 1775 and 1782 and what Article I, Section 1 of the Constituition provides:

"All legislative Powers herein granted shall be vested in a Congress of the United States, which shall consist of a Senate and House of Representatives."

Briefly, the word "all" means just that.

There is no such thing as “international law”.

There are agreements between countries, but these are not laws.

There is no such thing as "International Law". There are treaties and agreements between nations. There are standard diplomatic business practices.

There is no such thing as international law.

Can we PLEASE stop playing make believe with the delusional?

Just for a year or two?

What he hell is "international law"?

The same "international law" by which 2 UN resolutions in the 1960s denounced China's swallowing up of Tibet? What happened from that? Absolutely nothing.

The UN is ineffective and corrupt. The "Geneva Conventions" are only cited against the U.S. and Israel, and ignored when everybody else violates them. The "International" Criminal Court is run by an accused Muslim rapist who charged Netanyahu but not terrorists or genociders of Christians in Africa.

"International law" does not exist. The U.S. should pull out of the UN and every other such body, and expel them from our territory. Mercantilism is the best system of international relations, whereby Great Powers project that power in their own interests. And the Monroe Doctrine should be absolute in our Hemisphere.

Trump needs to back away and appoint a military leader to take possession of Venezuela until normalcy can be returned and elections held.

There’s also the Supremacy Clause, but Cooper seems to think that the treaties she’s offhandedly referencing mean something other than what they actually say.

Euroscum needs to STFU. They are irrelevant and have no business meddling in our affairs in our hemisphere.

It’s simply wrong to claim there is “no international law,” particularly since the US has been the author of a vast body of it.

I would imagine all that money is owed to NYC. If paid it would just make that much more money available to Mamdani.

If Cooper exemplifies femininity, then what’s their definition of masculinity?

This was a brilliant lecture on this subject:

Helen Andrews: Overcoming the Feminization of Culture (NatCon 5)

This was sent to me by one of our fellow Freepers, a strong woman who understands exactly the dynamic this woman discusses. Well worth the time to watch it. (It is 18 minutes long)
