The City Club of Cleveland is defying LGBTQ+ activist pressure to cancel or substantially alter an event featuring a conservative Christian leader next month, and Ohio’s attorney general is standing with the venue.
“We’re not canceling, and we have never had any intention of canceling this,” Dan Moulthrop, the City Club’s CEO, told The Daily Signal in an interview Wednesday. “We’re gonna continue to do what we always do, and have done for 113 years, which is convene conversations of consequence that help democracy thrive and do that with the leadership of relevant organizations who are shaping our communities.”
Moulthrop confirmed that he has no intention of changing the Jan. 16 forum in which he will interview Aaron Baer, president of the Center for Christian Virtue.

It’s the same old story. You aren’t going to do your function the way we want so we are going to complain at you.
The City Club of Cleveland events are paid for by corporate/philanthropic sponsors, forum sponsorship fees, ticket sales/table purchases, endowment income, and partnerships with organizations like Ideastream. It’s a non-profit organization relying on varied funding sources to maintain its free-speech forum. Not one cent of the cost of the events is paid for with public money so the LGBTQ do not have an investment. So they can do one of two things available to them:
1. The event is open to you but you are not in charge of the programs nor do you have an investment in them.
2. If you don’t want to attend...don’t. Have your own program instead if it is that important to you. And you can be guaranteed that you will have the freedom of speech and assembly they have.
But when it comes to trying to disrupt or control their program, I would strongly suggest you shut the hell up! It’s none of your business and you should not have the opportunity to pressure them into anything with their program.

From academia to the streets: What academia taught its students, which then spread beyond academia, is you can use Fascist tactics - intimidation, disruption, harassment, to silence voices you disagree with, and get away with calling it all a mere “protest”.
But they are wrong. A mere protest is not a civil disturbance. A mere protest is getting your voice heard but a mere protest is not the intimidation, disruption and harassment of voices you disagree with, those are Fascist tactics the Left and the Progressives have adopted.
Antifa and BLM spotted the lessons from academia clearly and took thinks the farthest, even blocking roads and highways and calling such civil disturbances “protests”. BLM of course went the furthest, making out destructive city riots as just another form of “protest”.
These are all things the Nazi’s used before they got Hitler as the head of Germany - intimidate and silence opposing voices and intimidate the public randomly in the streets.
Everyone should start considering an exit strategy from the United States of Sodom. Especially if you have young children
