A tourist viciously stabbed by a crazed homeless woman inside a bathroom at Macy’s Herald Square had been changing her 10-month-old daughter at the time, sources told The Post.
The 38-year-old mom, who was visiting from California, was in the seventh-floor bathroom with her baby when she was repeatedly knifed Thursday afternoon, the sources said.
The victim suffered knife wounds to her back, shoulder and arm in the unhinged attack that unfolded during the holiday shopping rush at the packed flagship store in Midtown.
The alleged attacker, Kerri Aherne, 43, was arrested on charges of attempted murder, assault and weapon possession, cops said.
Aherne, originally from Massachusetts, is homeless, according to police.
The victim, who had been shopping with her husband and child, was taken to Bellevue Hospital in stable condition.
She was treated for multiple stab wounds to her back and a laceration on her right arm.
In California, the mom works as a civilian for the state’s sheriff’s office where her husband is a sheriff, sources said.
“We are deeply saddened about the incident that took place today as the safety of our customers and colleagues is our top priority,” a Macy’s spokesperson said in a statement.

Zohran Mamdani hasn’t even been inaugurated yet.
Yeah... apparently not.
Yes, it is mind boggling that there are so many evil individuals in the republic.
“It’s mind boggling that people refuse to recognize and accept the threats involved with visiting a Democrat city.
The REAL PROBLEM is that the national media now has a CRIME BLACKOUT when it comes to reporting (with exceptions that allow them to push their agenda...maybe 1% of crime, if that). In this case, it was the NY Post reporting the crime...local story. Often even the locals won’t cover it, like when that Ukrainian babe was killed in North Carolina, and so it falls on some of the UK papers to report it (for whatever reason they are doing that job).
So people around the country and around the world simply DO NOT GRASP that our cities are now mostly no-go zones, leading to crimes like this.
And the perp will be back on Shitcago’s streets within hours...
Luckily for tge baby and her, she has a husband and he was present
Poor woman! I imagine she wasn’t detained long...
“And the perp will be back on Shitcago’s streets within hours...”
Or wherever it happened, all the Dim controlled shtholes are alike.
Toss it Back on the Victim
Changing a Diaper...
Cheers
She has every reason to expect safety at Macy’s Herald Square
I hope she and her family seek retribution
They won’t get any in NYC but put tgem to work. Publicize it.
New York is dead.
Living off the fumes of a once powerful hub of the best.
Including money, arts, literature, industry, music ..the whole shooting match...now a diseased relic.
On a related note, Macy's shut their Union Square store in San Francisco back in February of 2024:

This happened in NYC, though it seems that the reporter thinks that everyone in the world knows where Herald Square is. I don’t know how writing story leads became a lost art.
New york?
“arrested on charges of attempted murder, assault and weapon possession”
Which means she’ll get a mental evaluation, put on medication, fed well, clean sheets, and a couple week’s stay in a clean, quiet environment.
At her arraignment, she’ll be asked if she wants a softer pillow, or more channels on the TV.
Then, a liberal DA will drop the charges, and she’ll be back at Macy’s in two weeks. What a world!
Changing her baby into what?
Another American attacked by a miserable friggin’ liberal POS. The DemonRATS from the Party of Death, Destruction and Assassinations will not be happy until they’ve murdered all Caucasian Americans.
It's the NY Post and this is the same city whose self-absorbed denizens believe they're in the center of the universe.
From 1976:
Story is from the New York Post. It’s a local newspaper that borders on being a tabloid. Used to be twenty-five cents back when people actually bought physical newspapers, half the price of equally trashy NY Daily News and much cheaper than the New York Times and Wall Street Journal. But now that the NYP is online, I suppose they should acknowledge their out of state readers and not assume they know NYC neighborhoods.
