"During a traffic stop, a U.S. citizen, who was driving her illegal alien boyfriend's car, refused to comply with repeated lawfully given orders by law enforcement to identify herself. She was removed from the vehicle and briefly held while her identity was confirmed. She was promptly released...

How is someone being briefly questioned & released a News story?
This is an interesting tidbit that I seem to recall was omitted from yesterday's breathless Miami Herald report. No?
Any new info on her identity?
She refused to identify. That’s obstruction.

My theory is she put on a screaming bloody murder show for the Miami Hurled “journalist”, knowing he just HAPPENED to be there (what a coincidence!) to record her being asked for ID since she was driving a car owned by an illegal alien.

What do “scrubs” have to do with anything?
I was unsuccessful in posting the “Sure, Jan” gif.
I’m not keen on the laws requiring ID on a whim, but any of us could have so been made to comply—and this not a whim.
The illegal’s car should have been seized and she arrested for aiding and abetting the illegal criminal.
Broke two of Christ rocks rules of how to not get your as kicked by the police

Sounds right to me.
there is no law requiring you to provide ID at a whim. The police must be able to clear articulable suspicion of a crime before they may detain you or require ID. You may choose to identify if asked with no articulation of suspicion.
“Am I being detained?”
“No sir.”
“Bye”
or
Am I being detained?”
“Yes”
“What crime do you believe I have committed.”
In this case, she was driving a car belonging to an illegal. Clear, articulable suspicion of a crime. The car belongs to an illegal. Is that you?
No.
OK, you’re free to go.
