Today, many women are forgoing old-fashioned traditions like getting married or having kids for various reasons.
However, one Gen X woman opened up in a series of TikTok videos about her decision not to start a family and how it affects her today.
Nadiya Bekar, 53, is an award-winning beauty expert and the founder of Bekar Beauty, known for her skin-care tips and tricks. In a slew of TikTok videos posted right before the holiday season officially kicked off, she vulnerably shared how she “forgot to have kids.”
“I knew I didn’t want children but by the time it got to the point where I should’ve had them with my then partner, it was too late for me,” she said.
Bekar mentioned how she loves children and is the mother to an adorable fur baby but this time of year often stirs up feelings of emptiness and loneliness for her.

She is not the mother of a fur baby. A female cat played that rolee.
The Wall Always Wins.
Feminism is a lie to women. Many have killed their future happiness.
It was going to be a disaster with a “then-partner” anyway. Probably for the best on balance.
Dear Nadiya,
On behalf of my grandchildren, thank you for taking your sorry narcissistic self out of the gene pool.
The feminists really pulled off a great trick by telling wives and mothers that they were all unhappy. The only cure — the only way for a woman to be happy — was to join the corporate rat race and work in a cubicle just like a man, and take orders from some “important person” you don’t like very much.
And here we are decades later with a broken society and a bunch of men and women who aren’t very happy at all.
June Cleaver always seemed pretty happy to me.
Kids are a gift from God, so if you don’t believe, you will never appreciate them. She can only think about ‘her’desires and doesn’t believe (or even understand) what a gift children are.
She can probably adopt.
“Then Partner” says it all, probably for the best it worked out this way TBH.
Sadder part is knowing women who want to settle down, even early on, and can’t find many good men to choose from. The choice appears to be either neanderthals, soy boys or those stuck in permanent adolescence. Tough sledding.
Would you want to be raised by her?
Every author is a "best-selling author."
And everyone in every profession is "award-winning."
And on top of that she spoke Jive!
At age 53? I doubt they would approve her for adoption.
That is more so now than when this woman was in her childbearing years. Secular feminism and it's unrealistic expectations has by now made it much worse. I still know a few fine young men that would make good husbands, but their numbers are thinning out.
I read it as “atheist,” and thought, but of course.
So, doing the math, she was a drunkard until 47 years of age, and is STILL an alcoholic, because an alcoholic willing to admit they are an alcoholic can be sober for many more years and still say "I am an alcoholic."

There are only so many men who are professionals, and earn at least mid-six figures, and are fit, and have a sense of humor, and enjoy [whatever she enjoys], and are stylish and well dressed, and love to help with the housework, and share her politics, and are over 6 feet tall (but preferably over 6'2").
