Officials said 279 people are 'uncontactable.' Meanwhile, 29 people remain hospitalized, with 7 in critical conditions, officials said. The fire, which tore through bamboo scaffolding ubiquitous in the city, appears to be the most deadly blaze in Hong Kong in nearly three decades.
900 other residents have managed to flee to shelters.

I'll update this article for y'all when we know more.
Hong Kong is like the rest of China now.
At least they built it in record time.
I’m shocked the images/vids made it past the Great Firewall...
Not a good look for the ccp.
Bamboo scaffolding and whatever they use to cover it are all over the exteriors of the buildings. I’m amazed it’s taken this long for this to happen with the welding I’ve seen going on around that scaffolding that is popular on high rise construction in Asia.
Towering inferno. Think twice about living on the upper floors of a high-rise tower. Long ago when my sister-in-law moved into an apartment, we asked why she didn’t rent on an upper floor with a view. Her apartment was on the ground floor opposite the main entrance. She said if there is a fire, she wants to be the first one out. We said a fire won’t happen. Six months later there was a big fire, and someone died on an upper floor. She didn’t have to say told you so.
"To my surprise, listen, one hundred stories high
People getting loose, y'all, getting down on the roof, do ya hear?
The funk was flaming, out of control
It was so entertaining when the boogie started to explode, I heard somebody say"
Looks like the structures were made of bamboo ... a real fire hazzard.

how easily this fire spread from building to building
someone has a lot to answer for
https://abc13.com/archive/7797824/
I was in Shanghai in 2010 a week after a fire totally engulfed a 28 story apartment... cause of the fire was due to polystyrene being put on the outside of the building as an energy saving program and of course it is wickedly flammable.
But the views of city lights are magical from top floors 😂
Remember these images when Liberals tell you to “reduce your carbon footprint” by living in one of these firetraps.
Is this another of those flammable façade fires?
Each high rise is it’s own 15 minute city.
Prayers for the victims, their loved ones and the responders.
Probably not Trammps..
