Multiple police officers were attacked, including one who was injured, while responding to a shooting in Chicago on Friday in which at least five victims were shot.
The incident happened near State and Randolph streets at about 10 p.m., just hours after a Christmas tree lighting ceremony, according to Fox 32.
Ald. Brian Hopkins of Chicago's 2nd Ward said at least five people were shot, including one person in critical condition.
"300 juveniles rioting in the Loop now, at least 5 victims shot, one critical with life threatening gunshot wound to torso," he wrote on X.
"Multiple police officers attacked and injured with mace and stun guns, at least one PO hospitalized," he continued.

On social media, the "youths" were openly planning a Friday night "takeover" of the Loop. The city should have prepared for it.
Chicago leaders sure do love violence in their city.

Like the good old Capone days, with no Elliot Ness coming and whiskey didnt kill 10s of thousands of citizens and youths like fentanyl. Corrupt as Hell, no will to enforce the law, Defunding Police not needed as the Mayor, Governor Jaba, and creepy miniscule Soros hired court judges are committed to lack of law and order. Must be quite a payoff haul from the cartels, too.

"300 juveniles rioting in the Loop now, at least 5 victims shot". Dark nights in Chicago, black as pitch. Indigo on black.

Now you can sit home and have everything you need/want brought to your doorstep.
And the fairer sex is still miserable. Figure that one out and we are on the way to mending things.

When robots can do your nails and hair they will never have to leave the house. It can be selfies 24/7 and they will still be miserable.
Their friends will all be watching though.
I wonder if God will be.

My wife and daughters still enjoy the hands on shopping. I wonder how long until they need a protective escort.

The fact that there is a concern about that when attending a market is a sad testament. That left turn we took was always going to end in disaster.

Yep, old Hoosier here, Chicago used to be especially fun to shop at Christmas time. I loved Michigan Avenue (the Miracle Mile).
You couldn’t pay me to go there now.

I enjoy the real shopping experience as well. And I like to support local small businesses.
But I have a rule: Do not shop on a bus line.
Side story: There was a beautiful indoor mall not far from me. Wonderful place. Then the owner made a fatal decision. He put a bus stop at one of the entrances.
The mall slowly descended into chaos. It’s empty and closed now.

LEO v 300? All the life-threatening attackers should be dead. Body cams can show the attackers. Drones can verify the situation. Send a message. We have your back LEOs.
