It's Not About Gaza: Mob of Antisemitic 'Protesters' Swarmed NYC Synagogue Last Night
Townhall ^ | 11/20/25 | Amy Curtis

We are extremely concerned for the safety of Jews in New York City. The mayor-elect, Zohran Mamdani, has ties to antisemitic groups, has antisemitic staffers on his team, and wanted to "globalize the intifada."

Last night showed us once again what that really means. Mobs of antisemitic, anti-Israel protesters swarmed Park East Synagogue to demonstrate against Jews in the Big Apple.

🚨 HAPPENING RIGHT NOW in Manhattan:

A mob of antisemites is outside Park East Synagogue screaming for “Globalize the Intifada” and “There is only one solution: Intifada revolution.”

The Rabbi inside, Rabbi Arthur Schneier, is 93 years old. He survived the Holocaust. He was a… pic.twitter.com/ZCccUn4EUm— Reverend Jordan Wells (@WellsJorda89710) November 20, 2025

"This isn’t about Gaza.  This isn’t about 'justice.' This is the same ancient virus, wearing a keffiyeh instead of a brown shirt," Reverend Wells wrote. "They want you to believe it’s political.  It’s not.  It’s pogrom energy with better branding. Never again is happening again. Right now. On the Upper East Side."

This wasn't a random protest, either. The synagogue was hosting an event by Nefesh B'nefesh, an organization that helps Jews immigrate to Israel.

Here's more:

A hateful mob of anti-Israel protesters descended on a prominent New York City synagogue Wednesday night, chanting “Globalize the intifada” and sinisterly urging the “resistance” to “take another settler out.”

Some 200 demonstrators gathered outside the Park East Synagogue in Manhattan and heckled Jews attending an event by Nefesh B’nefesh, a Zionist organization that helps Jews immigrate to Israel, according to the Times of Israel.

“It is our duty to make them think twice before holding these events,” one protest leader told the crowd.

Another protester said, “We need to make them scared. We need to make them scared. We need to make them scared" and the crowd chanted, "From New York to Gaza, globalize the intifada."

They blocked the synagogue's entrance.

They stopped Jews from attending the event inside.

They also chanted about the IDF, "resistance," and the "intifada revolution."

The NYPD reported there were no arrests, although police did keep the crowds separate.

Of course, we have to wonder how much worse things will get for New York Jews once Zohran Mamdani is in office. He not only opposes Israel and seeks to impose international law in the city, but he also wants to defund the police, leaving all residents of New York City vulnerable to Leftist mobs and criminals.

I have read that 25%-50% of Jews in NYC voted for him, therefore their votes helped him win.

Now they get what they voted for...

Some 200 demonstrators gathered outside the Park East Synagogue in Manhattan and heckled Jews attending an event by Nefesh B’nefesh, a Zionist organization that helps Jews immigrate to Israel, according to the Times of Israel.

Nefesh B’nefesh-—— which pays Jews to immigrate to Israel...... receives government funds
<><>but says it relies on charitable contributions (which are often tax-exempt in the US and UK),
<><>and “direct funding” from the Israeli government.

The organization receives a portion of its budget from the US-dependent Israeli government, specifically through the Ministry of Aliyah and Integration. This arrangement began on a trial basis in 2005 and has continued since.

The “lion’s share” of its budget is claimed to be private funds raised through entities like the US nonprofit “Nefesh B’nefesh Jewish Souls United,” which accepts tax-exempt donations.

It also partners with organizations such as Jewish National Fund-USA to raise funds. The Jewish National Fund (JNF) benefits from the US tax system through tax-exempt status. JNF-USA is a registered 501(c)(3) non-profit; donations made to it are tax-deductible for US donors.

Additionally, the US government provides mega-billions of tax dollars——foreign and military aid to Israel-—— and some US non-profits and private actors support Israeli settlements.....settlements which are thought to be financed with US foreign aid billions.

Nefesh B’Nefesh provides “financial aid, including grants,” to eligible Jewish immigrants to Israel. Its goal is to facilitate the immigration process and help with the transition by providing resources, “financial assistance,” and guidance on housing, healthcare, and employment.

Financial assistance——Grants: Eligible immigrants can receive “financial aid” to help cover some of the costs associated with moving.

Beyond initial grants, new immigrants are entitled to various “Israeli government benefits:”
<><>rent subsidies
<><>health coverage,
<><>discounts on property taxes.

Travel: Nefesh B’Nefesh helps arrange a free chartered flight to Israel, which includes expedited processing at the airport and a free taxi to their new home.

Other services
Guidance: Nefesh B’Nefesh provides free Aliyah advisors who offer guidance on navigating the bureaucratic process, finding housing, and integrating into Israeli society.

The organization offers a variety of pre- and post-Aliyah events and resources, including social events, career guidance, and networking contacts to help new immigrants acclimate and thrive in Israel.

The “Israeli Ministry of Aliyah and Integration” is funded primarily by the US-dependent Israeli government, though some specific projects receive co-funding from external sources like the European Union.

The Israeli government allocates funds from its budget to support the ministry’s initiatives, which include providing assistance to immigrants in areas like housing, employment, and language acquisition.

The Aliyah ministry is a government body responsible for the integration of new immigrants, and its operations are funded through the national budget allocated by the US-dependent Israeli government.

Co-funding for specific projects: Some specific programs have received additional support from other sources. For example, certain integration and support projects are co-funded by the European Union, as noted in a study from Ruppin Academic Center.

They hate Jews that simple and now they are embolden because they have the ultimate Jew hater now going to run their city. This was NEVER about peace or wanting the war in Gaza to end, this was always about hatred for the Jews and wanting them all dead

“I have read that 25%-50% of Jews in NYC voted for him, therefore their votes helped him win.”

Wow, that’s interestingly stupid math.

Jews overall, voted 2:1 against Mandami. Orthodox voted 3:1 against Mandami. In one Jewish precinct, with 96% Jewish vote, 96% of the total vote went for someone-other-than-Mandami.

The Jewish vote was literally the only demographic where Mandami would not be the mayor, but you blame the Jews anyway.

In fact, you say this synagogue deserved it even though, this is the Park East Synagogue, which is Orthodox, and went 3:1 against Mandami.

Are you an antiSemite because you are bad at math and the smart Jewish kids in class revealed you as an idiot? Or did your math skills decay from being an antisemite?

18 U.S.C. § 248

This law makes it a federal offense to use force, threats of force, or physical obstruction to intentionally injure, intimidate, or interfere with a person exercising the right to religious freedom at a place of worship (e.g., disrupting services or ceremonies at a church, synagogue, mosque, or similar venue).

Round them up and put them in prison.

I did not blame Jews for anything other than voting against their own interests. Their continued voting for democrats is an established fact.

As far as accusing me of anti-Semite, if you had looked at my past history, you would see I am a big supporter of Israel and defend them all the time.

The Jews that voted for him are not the kind that attend the Synagogues.
