It was no surprise this morning when the Supreme Court turned away a petition that asked, as one part of a case, to overturn its same-sex marriage decision in Obergefell v. Hodges. Or at least, it was only a surprise if you were reading breathless coverage driven by progressive activists in the media.
There are two potential arguments for taking a case to consider overturning Obergefell, and they are serious ones. One is that the decision itself is legally nonsensical, undemocratic, and should never have come out the way it did. Without rehashing all of those arguments here -- see Here Here ...

Well there are those long standing rumors about the chief justice being less of a ladies man then even Lindsey Graham that might have made for some odd questioning
This one unfortunately boils down to the culture war overton window long past where it was 20 years ago. Was it only 10 years ago when this was “invented” as a right?
People didn’t want to fight against it then, and it was brought in with barely a wimper.

Yes, activist Supreme Court justices are a problem.
But the worse problem imo is that constitutionally low-information voters with too much voting power (17th Amendment), voters who have evidently never been taught about state sovereignty, keep reelecting the same compromised lawmakers who not only confirm state sovereignty-ignoring justices to the Supreme Court, but also protect justices from impeachment and removal for giving the green light to Constitution-ignoring, vote-winning, politically correct civil rights made by elite Democratic and RINO lawmakers.

We need to get rid of the 17th Amendment. The 16th Amendment (direct taxes) needs to go too.

You would think the SCOTUS judges would have to recuse themselves. After all, the increased tax rate associated with a married couple is part of the revenue stream that pays them.
Muslims will take over the USA and implement Sharia law before homosexual marriage is overturned.
If Muslim immigration persist in the same numbers as the last 10 years, then the conquest will happen in the year 2075.

As I have posted before, there is an alternate future history scenario where the US and China actually (briefly) pact to eliminate Islam, and the global reset is a controlled neutron-based low-impact 'war' that eliminates rogue Islam in city centers while sparing the ME minus Tehran, Cairo and Beirut. Any slime nation that does not capitulate to the reset is eliminated. Islamabad would not even flinch in this scenario, and China might very well take the opportunity to 'liberate' Pyong-yang.
