Who gives a s***!" That was Ben Shapiro’s response to Tucker Carlson's argument that Venezuelan dictator Nicolas Maduro has some great qualities, like his opposition to gay marriage.
"Who gives a s***!" Shapiro said. "The guy's a communist dictator. Everyone in his country is eating dog. He's shipping fentanyl to the United States to kill Americans. I don't give a shit whether he's anti-LGBTQ rights. This is the number one thing about Nicolas Maduro? Do you know how far down the list you have to get before you can get to anything remotely recommendable about Nicolas Maduro?"
Shapiro, appearing with Megyn Kelly for a live taping of The Megyn Kelly Show in Jacksonville, Fla., was responding to Kelly's summary of Carlson's argument: "Tucker has made the point—I'm not going to be here to be Tucker's defender—but he's made the point that Maduro is culturally conservative," she said.
"There is a long pattern of him ideologically laundering terrible ideas over the course of the last two years, ranging from traveling to Russia to sniff the bread and explain why the Russian regime is actually wonderful, to saying last week that the Venezuelan regime of Nicolas Maduro is actually not that bad because they're being attacked by, in his words, 'Globohomo,'" Shapiro said.

Perhaps Fox News had a leash on him for a reason.
Tucker just says what he is paid to say. He’s basically an actor at this point, reciting things off the script that was handed to him. The money comes from overseas. Mostly Arab, but he may also be getting money from the cartels.
I don’t understand either, but I wonder if he’s trying to make the point that “cancel culture” exists whenwver you break someone down to 100% “good” or 100% “bad, rather than making it about the actual issues. For the country to come together we have to actually listen and think clearly about ideas and not get bogged down with personal attacks.
Tucker is probably correct about Maduro’s views on lgbtq. Shapiro is right about other Maduro issues being more important, imho. But Tucker may be trying to get everybody to speak accurately about people rather than doing the “politics of personal destruction”.

There is no evidence that Venezuela sends fentanyl into the U.S. Shapiro is lying.
The VAST majority of fentanyl comes from Mexico.
I wonder why Shapiro doesn’t have any issues with the President of Mexico? Despite the fact that she just said targeted strikes on cartels violates the cartel member’s rights, for some reason Shapiro is incapable of criticizing her.

Does Maduro oppose transgender-ism and the proliferation of pornography?
Does Maduro favor preservation of national historical symbols within his own country?
Does Maduro oppose abortion as practiced in the West?
Frankly Maduro sounds more culturally conservative than most Jews...including Benjamin Shapiro.

I've checked and Shapiro did stop tweeting about Mexico's illegal immigration, fetanyl, and cartels since the current President of Mexico was elected in late 2024. Prior to that he had whole segments on the topic. He would have more credibility if he weren't so inconsistent.
