“Several KATU viewers contacted us overnight to say their SNAP benefits loaded onto their cards late Thursday night. One viewer even sent a photo of their $748 dollar balance. The Oregon Department of Human Services confirmed on their website that SNAP benefits have started to load onto cards”

It's time to end the Obama Era pause of work requirements and life time limits on welfare.
They need to replace snap cards with boxes of food . No more getting to choose junk food and soda (or selling the cards for cash)
It’s been suggested the snap benefits be replaced by cases of MRE’s.
If it’s good enough for our troops, it’s more than good enough for welfare recipients.
Heck , even McDonalds, Jack in the Box and Circle K are very dependent upon revenues from SNAP benefits.

Re instituting work requirements and life time limits on SNAP and welfare are vital ending this cycle of dependence.

THAT AMOUNT IS OVER HALF OF MY ENTIRE SOC SEC MONTHLY BENEFIT-—WHICH I WORKED FOR-—AGE 16 TO AGE 65.
My food budget is about $200/month.
I can only imagine what I could do with $750. (including donating $400 a month in food to local pantries.)
That’s the proof that we have become slaves.
Illegal immigrants are automatically elevated to the middle class courtesy of the taxpayers without having to work for it! Free food, free medical care, free mortgage subsidies on their homes and tax credits for every kid they have!
It is grossly unfair and should be ILLEGAL. All these freebies while peoples health insurances are increasing exponentially to pay for the freeloaders and our citizen elderly and vets get nothing but a kick in the financial ass…..barely getting by.
People born to US citizens and who’ve lived and worked in the USA all their lives are SLAVES to the democrat freebie agenda for their illegal alien voting base.

It wasn’t a big deal, C rations were normal fare when I was working as a forest firefighter for two summers in college.
We also ate a few meals at Country’s Barbecue in Columbus.
