HARRISBURG — Pennsylvanians have voted to retain three Democratic state Supreme Court justices, granting them additional terms on the bench after an unusually contentious, multimillion-dollar election.

Republicans and their allies had hoped to defeat the justices and put their seats on the 2027 ballot, opening a path to flip the court. The Democratic majority has handed down critical rulings over the past decade, upholding mail voting and throwing out a congressional map that it found unfairly benefited the GOP.

Justices Christine Donohue, Kevin Dougherty, and David Wecht were on the ballot Tuesday. They were first elected in 2015 in a sweep that flipped the court from Republican to Democratic control.

The Associated Press called all three races at 9:53 p.m. Unofficial results show their margins are all around 27 points…

The left ran the table tonight. They won everywhere there was a race.

ep. Expect more violence. Although the GOP is on an off year, they better get their rear in gear.

And now the GOP will cave on the shutdown. Only Trump wins because it’s clear to everyone he’s not like the rest of the losers

Dark money talks. Voters are still mostly ignorant. Very poor showing by the state GOP committees, heads will need to roll.

Definitely time to retire this tagline.

It was nice while it lasted.

Trump wins when he’s on the ballot. People respect the hustle. The Trump bump won’t carry over to the feckless Republicans. Can’t get judges passed because of blue slips, are you kidding me?!?!. That just one example. Trump know how to win and knows how to get things done but the Republicans refuse, they just refuse. I for one am glad I can watch Trump 2.0 but I’m under illusion. The Republicans without him will not so the things that are needed.

Well, that's a big problem for MAGA because he's never going to be on a ballot again.

Tell me what exactly, in any of these deep blue strongholds, did MAGA (The New Republicans if you will) lose tonight?

You didn't witness a Republican loss tonight. You witnessed the death of the traditional Democrat party.

Exactly. I saw a headline on Drudge exclaiming “MAGA Rebuked.” Really?

Even in my 2:1 red county the “explusion” aka “NO” vote failed 45:55.

Politics follows Newton’s Third Law of Motion. Nationally and statewide tonight was the “equal and opposite reaction” to the Trumpslide.

I hope that the midterms prove to be the equal and opposite reaction to tonight’s debacle.

I always think fraud. The RINOs threw away “too big to rig” this time.

My county appears to have re-printed the poll books from the primary leaving off non-affiliated voters, new voters and potentially left voters that were remove from the voter rolls since the cutoff for the primaries back in February or March. They allowed voters to vote provisional ballots until they ran out and finally got supplemental poll books to the precincts in the late afternoon.

Rat controlled government with a rat appointed supervisor of elections that screwed up the primaries by forgetting to add one of the races. She should have been removed but the county was too busy wasting money going on a hiring spree including a chief experience officer. Well how’s that experience for you?

Scott Pressler reported on it earlier in the day. I don’t have much else to add at this point.
