Do NOT come to Texas with your religious (lack of) belief systems, ideas and voting records. You voted for what lead to this. DO NOT BRING THAT IDEOLOGY HERE. You will constantly be asked to leave. I, personally, will do so.

Texas is CLOSED to NYCers trying to flee. Gov Abbott said he’ll impose a 100% tariff on any of them trying to sneak in. 😂

They’re just now figuring out that New York City is not the place to live?

If NY’ers really gave a shit, they would have left long ago.

Enjoy the suck.

Years ago many Jews decided not to leave Germany. So this time many Jews will stay in NYC.

I was going to be more generous, and tell them that they could come to Texas if they filed a sworn affidavit that they would never vote here.

Talk is cheap.

UpState/OutState needs to revolt and succeed from Albany.

Everyone with a house or a purchased loft or apartment as they apparently do in NYC will have to sacrifice to sell quickly.
Ones with rentals have a lease which you have to pay a big fee to break or else wait months and months to get to the expiration date.

I think most people will, as usual, say “I guess I have to adjust and just put up with it. I can complain to friends at the bar or somewhere.”

Search today showed:
Approximately 1.1 million apartments in NYC are owner-occupied, meaning the person living there bought the property. As of 2023, this represents slightly over 30% of all households in the city.

2.3 million people rent their apartments in NYC.

Go to New Jersey and Pennsylvania. Flip these states crimson red.

All they need to do is move Upstate. They don’t need to torture the other states with their crap.

It’s more likely we’ll find Little Green Men on Jupiter than nearly a million New Yorkers will flee Gotham if Mamdani wins.

The market will take care of itself.

If too many people leave, real estate prices will decrease, those holding property will be under water and buyers will get some good deals, and prices will level.

Move to my neighborhood where they’ll vote for the same socialists that made New York the place it is today. :)
