The world is heading to add 57 superhot days a year, but study indicates it could have been worse

WASHINGTON (AP) — The world is on track to add nearly two months of dangerous superhot days each year by the end of the century, with poorer small nations hit far more often than the biggest carbon-polluting countries, a study released Thursday found.

But efforts to curb emissions of heat-trapping gases that started 10 years ago with the Paris climate agreement have had a significant effect. Without them Earth would be heading to an additional 114 days a year of those deadly extra hot days, the same study found.

The international collection of climate scientists World Weather Attribution and the U.S.-based Climate Central teamed up to use computer simulations to calculate just how much of a difference the landmark accord has made in terms of one of the biggest climate effects on people: heat waves.

The report — which is not yet peer-reviewed but uses established techniques for climate attribution — calculated how many superhot days the world and more than 200 countries got in 2015, how many Earth gets now and what’s projected in two future scenarios.

The report doesn’t say how many people will be affected by the additional dangerously hot days, but co-author Friederike Otto of Imperial College London said that “it will definitely be tens of thousands or millions, not less.” She noted that thousands die in heat waves each year already.

Telling the future, one divination ( lie ) at a time. Tell the same every day and think the “oracle” of repetition can’t be checked? How’s that Arctic free of ice doing?

I did the same thing. Nothing happens. Odd.

All the ‘Paris Agreement’ did was move manufacturing to China (and similar countries), it’s hard to see how that accomplished anything, other than destroying the economies of the West.

This "man is altering the climate" has been going on for years...and so far...it hasn't changed a damn thing.

That's the problem with the Climate do gooders "Plan"....absolutely no way they can prove that they are moving the needle.

Let’s compare 2015 with 2025 and declare “CLIMATE”. Oh, and why start with 2015? Because that’s when a piece of paper was signed. Geesh!

She noted that thousands die in heat waves each year already.

here is a short summary of births and deaths in the current world from Statistics Times.

The global number of deaths will be around 63.14 million in 2025, which is 746k more than compared to 62.39 million in 2024. There are 172,975 people who die each day in the world; that is 7,207 per hour, 120 per minute, and nearly 2 per second. The lowest number of total deaths per year was 46.06 million in 1962, and the highest total deaths of 122.9 million will be in 2100.

The global number of births will be around 132.40 million in 2025, which is 6,754 less than the 132.41 million in 2024. There are 362,737 babies born each day in the world, which translates to 15,114 each hour, 252 each minute, and around 4 each second. In 1950, total births per year were the lowest at 91.82 million. Total births per year peaked in 2012 with 146.05 million births. The yearly number of births will remain relatively stable in the range of 130-140 million per year over the coming decades.

In the future, the number of births is expected to fall and the number of deaths to rise; hence, the global population will grow at a slow rate. The total deaths will overtake total births in the year 2084, resulting in a world population decline.

In 2025, the crude death rate for the world is 7.67 deaths per thousand population, and the crude birth rate for the world is 16.08 births per thousand. The crude death rate and birth rate of the world have been declining at a moderating rate since 1950. While the crude birth rate continues to decline, the death rate will increase after 2026.

Funny how climate models have never gotten it right yet, but those with climate change grants keep spinning the tale. According to Al Gore in the 1990’s, by 2013, NYC and much of FL would be would be under water. I wonder how many people bought beach-front property in Valdosta, GA, and are still waiting for the beach to show up?

Now we know why they changed the name to “Climate Change”. These people are morons and they work hard to keep the populaces everywhere dumbed down so they can work their “magic” to make themselves lots of money.

It is always about the money. Waterboard Al Gore and see how quickly he admits it.
