Apparently, the new era of law and order in Washington, D.C., has not penetrated the highly corrupt court system, which just let off the attackers who almost killed a DOGE employee in a bloody assault that spurred Donald Trump‘s federalization of the police force there.
True, the attackers were minors, but that does not obviate the severity of their attack on Edward Coristine. One would think that at least a little time in juvenile jail would be warranted. But, no. The D.C. court system is too heavily pro-crime and anti-Trump for that. Now, if only the attackers had been Jan. 6 protesters who ambled peacefully through the Capitol, they would’ve received years in prison.
At the time of the attack, Coristine (who is himself still a teenager) attempted to defend a woman from a carjacking and was then attacked by numerous juveniles, two of whom were arrested. Others involved in the attack apparently got away, and with Coristine’s iPhone.
Coristine was present for the sentencing via video, according to the New York Post. “I hope you can figure things out and be ready for the consequences,” he told his youthful attackers. Coristine, known as “Big Balls” during his time with the Department of Government Efficiency (DOGE), sustained a concussion and broken nose after being mobbed by ten attackers, and the image of him collapsed on the pavement with his face streaming blood sparked widespread outrage.
WUSA9 obtained the information on the sentencing of the violent teens, but did not reveal their names as per an agreement with authorities, who are doing everything possible to protect the criminal youth from permanent ill consequences for their near-deadly actions.

Sometimes you gotta do what you gotta do. But it’s DC. So if you exercise your 2A rights there, you’ll be facing DC cops and a DC jury.
Side story: I once went to a talk given by an NRA lawyer. He said that three cities in the US were particularly bad in regards to the 2A. Cops there would arrest innocent folks for “gun crimes” for the flimsiest of reasons. Or for no reason at all.
The three cities: Baltimore, New York City, and DC.
Yes, but in DC you are going to prison for having one (unless you have a rap sheet already).

I had little choice after the Almeda fire where to live.. got stuck in this senior mobile home park. I have a 6ft 4in 300. Lb violent mean neighbor. The owner made him property manager a couple years ago and my life has been hell since. My mailbox was broken from the stands so I took it to repair. He ran my car into the ditch, screaming and calling me every filthy name and accused me of breaking and stealing my own mailbox. I called the sheriff and they told him to stay off my lot and not speak to me. But he refuses. I can’t go outside without being humiliated and verbally attacked. He walks into my lot and smirks.
The sheriff says it’s a civil matter. Don’t call them again. He laughs. This situation has had me suicidal. 84 lbs and so traumatized and ill that I can’t function. Too sick to move and there’s still nothing after the fire 5 years ago.
Hell of a way to spend the golden years..

This is just crazy! His civil rights were violated! The dude was lynched! It was a hate crime! The violent attackers are free to hurt or kill next time.
I really feel for you, your situation must be so difficult! That said, you need to move.
There are other places to live. It won’t be easy, but you have all the time in the world to search for a different place. I’ll pray for you that God will lead you to a better situation.
