It will never be repealed, but a great fix would be to allow people to choose only the coverage they want as opposed to being forced to pay for the various coverages mandated by the government in order for a policy to be ACA-compliant. This is the way it was prior to the ACA and private insurance policies were cheap.
But, I suppose the extra premium amounts paid by people for these unnecessary coverages allows others to be subsidized. No easy task with this one without angering a lot of people since the proverbial toothpaste is out of the tube.

How about making insurance a national product and not by state? Make it transportable and not hold people captive by state, what a concept! A national risk pool.
Obamacare must disappear but something logical and effective must replace it.
To: MtnClimber
I'm probably the only person who got good use out of Obamacare. I desperately needed dual hip replacement shortly after Obamacare came online, and the cost that seemed so high to the rest of the country was something I was more than happy to pay.
That was just my good fortune, though, and I have little doubt that the program is financially unsound and unsustainable.

I don’t remember all the gory details but,
Sen Cornyn teamed up with Harry Reid (against Ted Cruz) to remove one of the last hurdles to the final passage of Obamacare.
The rest is history which brings us to today...

Biggs’ bill faces review by eight different committees

Yep, it’s been a loser from the beginning. Remember how many taxpayer millions (wonder whose pocket that went into) just to have the online program unworkable. Then more taxpayer millions were given to get it up and running. What a loser! Then Congress and aides were exempted and got to keep their own healthcare. “Millions for tribute but not a penny for charity”. (Yeah, it’s a reversal of the old adage.)

The irony drips. Biggs from AZ trying to do what McCain from AZ refused to do.
I’ll die hating John McCain.

Hey Andy, that was the whole idea of it in the first place. It was always designed to bring about single payer and we screamed and yelled about that at the time.
They didn’t listen.

Repeal most all of it, but there are certain things I would like to see left in, like pre-existing conditions for starters.
If they want to really do it right, then allow companies to cross state borders as well and let the market determine the price through competition.
